Openly gay boys finally allowed in the Boy Scouts!

And to think this dickwad ran for Prez: http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2013/05/24/governor-rick-perry-i-am-greatly-disappointed-that-the-boy-scouts-will-allow-gay-members/ -
It is not a good day to be from Moore, Oklahoma: Multiple fatalities from an elementary school as well as others from around town (including a theater). It was an EF-4 or 5. Horrendous damage.

The joke has an immigration slant not a killing slant. The Jihadi part is to get your attention and the zinger is the small number of legals. Classic zig-zag joke. Whether or not it is offensive is up to the person reading the joke. Edit: Wmcmanus beat me...

I've been following this. Here is where I get my info from: http://www.talkweather.com/forums/index.php?/topic/59336-may-15th-21st-severe-weather-outbreaks/ I have an aunt who lives smack dab between the Shawnee tornado and the Carney tornado paths. Unreal stuff. Supposed to be really active tomorrow as well.

It's got a real pyramid scheme feel to it based on the way the new "currency" is being released. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Total_bitcoins_over_time.png Stupidest damn thing I have ever seen.

And then out of left field... Side project of AtomA's (ex Slumber) guitarist/vocalist Jari Lindholm. If you mix AtomA with a bit of good melodeath, this is what you'd get. Great debut. Not the most original album, but it is great fun!

Shelly, I ordered from Benchmark directly before. Never had a problem with security, but I see your apprehension. That DAC2 D sure looks tempting. All three outputs at the same time? That has to be a first to me. Very good choice to add that second RCA output set. I am thinking Balanced to power amp, RCA to sub, and RCA to head amp. If anyone gets one, I'd be interested in thoughts. It really seems like they put a lot of thought into their implementation of that Sabre chip, as the literature is a lot more than just a bit and sample rate wankfest. Edit: And you can still use it as a DAC with volume control, and it seems to be a real step above the DAC1 in that regard.

Been a while... (Echo) - Devoid of Illusion Had this for a while but never got around to giving it a good listen. Glad I did. What do you get when you mash-up melodoom with the proverbial kitchen sink? Oh, and have Greg Chandler from Esoteric at the controls? Yeah, good luck classifying this, but it kicks ass. Make sure the neighbors are not home

The new Disperse album "Living Mirrors" is a HUGE letdown. Shit, I am disappointed. Pure monotonous djenty crap!

How often does this happen? From: http://www.sputnikmusic.com/news/26062/KAUAN-meteorite-crash-delay/ KAUAN meteorite crash delay 2013-02-21 by BloodMusic | 8 Replies | 276 Views The Russian folk-doom outfit KAUAN has recently finished recording their 5th album in Kiev, Ukraine, and traveled to their home of Chelyabinsk, Russia, for mixing, when the city was attacked by a hailstorm of meteorites, whose power was 30x that of an atomic bomb! The band has put the new record on hold and are currently staying at home to ensure that neither them nor family members have suffered radiation poisoning, which may make this the first album ever delayed by meteorite explosions. The name of the new album will be PIRUT, which translates (from Finnish) as DEVILS. It will be a single, 40-minute long song, which they describe as "a stone-faced blend of neo-classical and funeral doom metal." The album will be released towards the end of 2013 on Finnish record label BLOOD MUSIC.

An update to the order I placed for the Disperse debut album using the strikethrough link: the person who ran that page was the former bassist of the band. I was promptly refunded the order cost. Since he is no longer with the band, orders through that link will fall into the ether. Apparently he forgot about my order Anyhoo, Dusty, if you ever want to order the debut album, make sure to go though the SOM link at the bottom of my last post. I'm about to. And yeah, Finnish is WAY more metal than Russian

Hehe: Disperse is very hard to obtain legally. I had to "acquire" it to even hear the damn thing. I ordered a copy here after much searching: http://disperse.bigcartel.com/product/journey-through-the-hidden-gardens It's their own sales site. I have not gotten my copy yet, but I will update if I do. Their next album, which I already pre-ordered, will be MUCH easier to get, since they have now signed to Season of Mist: http://e-shop.season-of-mist.com/en/items/disperse/living-mirrors/cd/33794 Edit: DAMMIT! SOM apparently has copies of the debut album now: http://e-shop.season-of-mist.com/en/items/disperse/journey-through-the-hidden-gardens/cd-digipack/34153

Have you checked out Disperse yet?

I recommended it before a long time ago and the sound of crickets deafened me, but you have to try Kauan. It's not exactly space rock, but it's got lots of spacey elements and BUTTLOADS of atmosphere. This has to be right up your alley. To be honest, I have always been bored with the vast majority of the post-rock scene. It always sounded like a one trick pony (but that's me).
