No may exciting things I am afraid, for example: wild boar, beefalo, buffalo, deer, horse, bear, octopus, conch, and squid. Sure I missed something or other.
You sir are correct, after 14 years of being in the water and sewer business you would be surprised at the KRAP that you find in the wastewater collection system.
Larry if you are going to CanJam10 then take your K1000 and compare them w/ the LCD-2. Seems to me that you should get an idea of which you like better, even though it is not an ideal location for critical listening. Cheers.
As far as a DAC I am very partial to the Monarchy Audio NM24 DAC, you can find it on sale at Audiogon for $1,080 (regular price is $1,580) plus S&H. However, audio is extremely dependent on the end user so ideally you should listen to the gear before jumping in on people's recommendation. Good luck.
Hi Larry, Aaron (immtbiker) has one of my K1000 which I bought from Ron (HiFlight). I should get the K1000 back in less than two weeks and would gladly loan it to you if it would help you decide if the K1000 is for you or not. Of course you would have to sell yours and get another K1000 to take care of the sound issue you have with your current example. Shoot me a PM. Cheers.
Awesome looking amp, enjoy it.
Nothing exciting down here, replaced the water line, main valve, flapper valve, and handle on the toilet. Yeah it was a fun way to spend my b-day, but at least "she who must be obeyed" is happy. Now enjoying a good bottle of fortified "vino".
To me he was one of the great ones, there was something about his "look" that you did not want to mess with. Clint E. and Sean C. are in the same category. RIP.
My oldest piece is a 1977-79 Marantz 2238B receiver which I am currently using at the office as a headphone amp. I am waiting to use it to drive an Stax SRD7 and an AKG K1000. Sure look forward to hearing how well or poor it will sound.
I was looking for an inexpensive alternative and bought a Cambre unit. A five shelf version of: New Cambre' Entre 4 shelf audio rack For Sale | AudiogoN
Could you countsink the front and back plate as needed?
Birgir, if (as if "if" is the right word to use) I like the SRD7 and Lambda PRO you are to be blamed!
Thanks Vicky, it will be a challenge for someone like me who has been suing PC since they came out 27 or so years ago. I will have to read a lot to learn of all the applications the Apple users have/use.
iMac 21.5-inch: 3.06GHz with the 1 TB hard drive and ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with 256MB. It is my first Apple computer so I know I will have a learning curve ahead of me.
