Thanks for the responses, currently I have neither of the devices and I would use it indoors to read either Science Fiction or Fantasy books. I like the lower price of the Kindle and the 3G. However can I use the 3G to access my email account with my cable service provider? Lastly it seems the iPad size is the better compromise since I find the DX a bit large and the regular Kindle a bit small.

Right now I own one pair of iem's the HiFiMAN RE-252 and one pair of buds the Yuin OK1. I really enjoy the Yuin specially at the office since it allows me to hear if the phone rings or if a visitor is at the door. Although I have enjoyed my time with the RE-252 it is time to move up the ladder a bit and thus why I am considering a new set of iem's. However I do not use them much and I have a hard time justifying over $250 for a pair and thanks to Rob I was able to try a few units which otherwise it would have been impossible to do. Why he owns so many pairs? ... well only he can answer and IMO who cares? It is his money/time and it is up to him to decide how to spend it. Anyways, yesterday I thought I liked the Westone 2 over the TripleFi 10 however today I am really enjoying the TripleFi 10 better. This after I swapped tips and reversed the units to face forward instead of backwards. Thanks. mypasswordis, HOOKERS? well, I see them all the time in Miami Beach. Heck some of them sunbathe topless at my building's pool!

Went to Fort Myers for the meet, had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones. BTW, those pictures of the Chicago flooding make me cringe. Feel awful for all the residents and their damaged possessions.

The latest amp I have tried was an "el cheapo" vintage Marantz 2238B. i found the sound very nice and I also use the 2238B to drive an Stax SRD7Pro modded by Birgir.

I am packing for the Fort Myers meet. I hope the listeners are surprised by how good an older (1977-79) Marantz 2238B can make a K1000 and an Stax (via SRD7 modded by Birgir) sound.

Can't afford it since I would then need a whole new amp, besides I have listened to the O2 at CanJam 08 in TTVJ's room and although very nice I am not sure it will better the K1000.

I got a Lambda Pro from Birgir, although I had listened to Stax ear-speakers before at meets I had never owned one. It is being driven by an SRD7/Pro modded by Birgir and IMO this combo sound fantastic! Not quite as good as the K1000 but very satisfying and enjoyable. BTW I am using either a vintage Marantz 2238B or a RWA Signature 30.2 to provide the "juice" to the SRD7/Pro.
