  1. I always thought Oscar the grouch would be the perfect opening act. Sorry about the cancelation.
  2. So I have an issue with my HT rig. My Integra DTC 9.8 Pre/Pro stopped outputting sound about two years back. I replaced it with a used Integra DHC 80.2. Recently it has stopped outputting sound as well. Apparently it's a well known issue with the chip overheating in many Onkyo/Integra units. My Aeriel Acoustics Model 8 speakers need a lot of power to sing, and my Rotel RMB 1095 five channel amp provides plenty, so I'm not looking to go the receiver route. Just looking for a decent Pre/Pro, other than Onkyo/Integra. I'm really looking for a used model that I don't have to invest a large sum into. HDMI in/out preferred, but could make an older unit work for me if it has an optical digital input. If anyone has a unit they're not using and would like to sell, or if you know of a deal somewhere? I only use L C R speakers, not using rear speakers. So an uber channel model isn't at all necessary. Any suggestions welcomed, thanks!
  3. Did you bring your Flashlight? In 1977 I'd crank that up every time it hit the airways. Then bought the album and completely drove my Mother crazy!
  4. Cased a room full of Victorian windows.
  5. Have a phenomenal day Sir! Drink some wine for a change!
  6. From that picture it looks a lot like them. Carry on. 🙂
  7. I plugged over 450 screw holes, skirted and stained my boss' Ipe deck that I built about 6 months back.
  8. Uhm, that figured Cherry and Black anodized aluminum case looks very familiar. I'm pretty sure it is, or was part of the three piece "Tower of Power". That encompassed a Beta 22 Amp, a hot rodded Twisted Pear Audio DAC, and a Twisted Pear Audio passive pre amp/balanced switcher with the Joshua Tree ladder style attenuator. Or maybe the Beta 22 had the Joshua Tree. It's been a while? Am I correct?
  9. Have a fantastic day!

  13. Damn!
  14. I believe the first thing I saw Lithgow in was The World According to Garp, in 1982. That was an amazing performance, and he hasn't let me down once since.
  15. Yes it does.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. How strange. It doesn't work for me. I would even call it a mis fit. 😉

I haven't heard any Rockport speakers, but in the 80's I was very impressed with their linear tracking table. Assuming it's the same company.

I never was a big fan of Wilson. The tweeter on Wilson and most Focal stuff wasn't my cup of tea. Hands down best large speaker I've ever heard was the Infinity IRS that I heard in the early 80's But my favorite speaker that I could actually live with was the Sonus Faber Extrema. This is all from memory of course. I've never compared either with any modern speaker.
