  1. This dish is absolutely going into rotation! The pan sauce you make from the drippings and wine was incredible!
  2. I made Chicken Vesuvio for Dorothy and myself.
  3. I can't pick just 5, so I'll give 10. A few of these have more to do with what they meant to me at the time of their release. For example: Rod Stewart's The Killing of Georgie really helped me deal with my sexuality at a very confusing 16 years of age. Dire Straits: Making Movies K. D. Lang: Shadowland Stevie Nicks: Belladonna Bruce Springsteen: Born to Run Queen: A Night at the Opera Willie Nelson: Stardust Rod Stewart: A Night on the Town B.B. King: Six Silver Strings Allman Bros.: Eat a Peach Neil Young: Harvest Just realized I've already previously picked 5 albums. I guess it depends on the day, as only one pick made both lists.
  4. Uhm... Not everything works abbreviated. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Pud Dual nationality comes with dual abbreviations.
  5. I find it hard to watch, if only because my heart wants so much for them to prosecute him, but my head doubts they ever will. So frustrating.
  6. Polish sausage, mashed taters and gravy and pan broiled broccoli.
  7. Has anyone tried the Amazon Echo Link streamer? I'm considering buying this for my bedroom system (Parasound Z-stack/DIY monitors/Gallo sub). I would of course use the Toslink digital output to bypass the internal DAC, and run into my Parasound Z-DAC. But the ease of voice control, using my existing Echo Cube is something I think I'd really appreciate. Any thoughts?
  8. Willie would have to cook my bacon a bit crisper, but otherwise it looks like my kind of place.
  9. That's what we used to call "The Stud" on Wednesday nights. That was a gay bar in San Francisco for the uninformed.
  10. Noice!
  11. Never got to see Sylvester live, but heard how great he sounded live from many people who lived in the Castro at that time. Kind of a high water mark for LGBTQ people, especially in that time frame. And it's just fun!
  12. I first read that as Pearl Bailey. That does sound amazing!
  13. How about if we just give them Sarah Palin instead?
  14. ^ In the gay community we prefer... Oh, nevermind, completely different usage. Carry on.
  15. This looks like it would fit the bill. I have personally had good luck with Yamaha HT receivers. https://usa.yamaha.com/products/audio_visual/av_receivers_amps/rx-v4a/index.html
  16. Sorry for your loss Chris.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. As usual for this crowd, a member has offered a Rotel unit that should serve my needs nicely. Can't wait to listen through the Aeriel Acoustics again.
  19. Couldn't find any chairrail to match existing, so I milled some up. Took longer to clean the shop up, than it did to mill the rail. And now the shop has two more specialty router bits.
  20. Have a fantastic day!
  21. As I've always said Jeffy, all meat is not created equal.
  22. What's the rig Rod?
  23. I always thought Oscar the grouch would be the perfect opening act. Sorry about the cancelation.
  24. So I have an issue with my HT rig. My Integra DTC 9.8 Pre/Pro stopped outputting sound about two years back. I replaced it with a used Integra DHC 80.2. Recently it has stopped outputting sound as well. Apparently it's a well known issue with the chip overheating in many Onkyo/Integra units. My Aeriel Acoustics Model 8 speakers need a lot of power to sing, and my Rotel RMB 1095 five channel amp provides plenty, so I'm not looking to go the receiver route. Just looking for a decent Pre/Pro, other than Onkyo/Integra. I'm really looking for a used model that I don't have to invest a large sum into. HDMI in/out preferred, but could make an older unit work for me if it has an optical digital input. If anyone has a unit they're not using and would like to sell, or if you know of a deal somewhere? I only use L C R speakers, not using rear speakers. So an uber channel model isn't at all necessary. Any suggestions welcomed, thanks!
