Agreed, they are the best. Milo and I bought a few dozen when there. Believe it or not, Anchorage has a decent selection of bagel bakeries, though not as good as an NYC bagel, a pretty decent second place. South Texas was a bagel desert. But more doughnuts than can be believed.

I'd forgotten about this case. I was in Texas, going to college when it happened. But for me it was overshadowed by what was known as the Matamoros murders. Four students from the same college I went to went missing. Later their bodies were found in Matamoros, Mexico. That border town was about 1/4 mile from my college, and students regularly went across. The story gets pretty gruesome and involves Santaria practices.

I've just never thought of chocolate moose as anything special. I'm more of a custard man.

I call that the Kardashian conundrum.

That's an interesting design for sure. Those designs generally tend to look unfinished from the side or back view, and the Valchromat would go a long way to correcting that.

I don't know how it glues up. I believe it is compressed with epoxy, so it may need to be glued together with epoxy. But then it's just a matter of clear coating, or no coat for a flat finish.

While I do prefer milk chocolate to dark chocolate, I do prefer European milk chocolate. Usually Lindt. I'm not a fan of local Ghirardelli at all.

Have a phenomenal day! I know that it's your day, but if you could possibly film yourself being injured, it'd really make it a special day for everyone.

Must resist the sexual inuindos in that statement. Having great difficulty!

I will volunteer to do a long term test/review for you, should you choose to purchase and have sent to me.

I'm hoping that this type of smart speaker becomes much more standard and adopted by many speaker companies soon.

On a different note, has anyone used Valchromat yet? It has some properties that I could find plenty of uses for. With the color throughout, multiple colors and the resin core, I can see this as a great medium for speaker builds as just one promising option. Also all kinds of shop jigs, tablesaw sleds, sacrificial fences, splining jigs and so many others.

I agree with both the smart men above.

I decided that I wanted an omelet. I had an onion that I needed to use up, so I set my pan on low and caramelized the onion over about 50 minutes. I wanted some bacon in it, but didn't have any on hand. I did however have a can of Spam on my shelf. I've had fried spam, and it's OK, but for some reason I thought I might try grating the Spam and crisping it. That worked really well, and actually tastes more like bacon than Spam. The texture is great. The addition of Swiss cheese tops it off. The onion shot was at the beginning of carmelizing.

My recently passed Aunt spent much of her retired life researching family history. She also uncovered a crap ton of old photos. So I have a pretty complete family history on my Mom's side, going back a few centuries. One thing that side of the family is quite proud of is there Texas history. The family has very deep roots in the state, even before it was a republic. Even with a presence at the Alamo. My Dad's side is still pretty much an unknown. Especially since my recent finding that our German heritage was a myth. I now know that his background is basically United Kingdom, same as my Mom's, but have absolutely no specific information.

Finished up the week at Milo & Otis siding, screen & vent repair, in preparation for what may be an epic paintjob on Mayberry Manor.

Some people are happiest when they're unhappy. And they like to spread that around.

Nice table.

A Birthday so important that I've posted it twice (and can't figure out how to delete).
