  1. $200 is pricey as hell for a router bit, but if it cuts nice I think it'd be money well spent.
  2. Ah, I hadn't noticed. Sweet! Who is the maker? Ah, I hadn't noticed. Sweet! Who is the maker?
  3. Not to make you feel bad, but I used Al's Hammer combo to joint the White Oak for the railing I built recently, and Jesus is that thing just a pleasure to use! The resulting edge is perfection too.
  4. I really want to get a nice set of downward spiral and upward spiral flush trim bits. I love that you don't need to worry about grain direction and chip out. I have heard that the closer you cut to your template first, the better the routing results. Which is just good practice even with a common flush trim bit.
  5. I want to take a moment to encourage another woodworker to post more pics of his projects here. I'm privy to pics of many of Doug's projects. Doug's work is probably the most impressive to me of all of the woodworkers I know personally. And he's only been doing it for a few short years. His perfectionism is what drives him on, and it certainly shows through in his work. I think that can be a blessing (not you Ric), and a curse at the same time. Projects can turn into year long endeavors. And lots of joinery is scrapped as not up to par. I certainly don't have the patience to meet the criteria Doug not only aspires to, but usually achieves. I'm not sure I've expressed to him that he's one of my favorite woodworkers, as well as one of my favorite people. I just wish he would share more of his work with all of you. It's truly impressive!
  6. My hat's off to my favorite scone mason!
  7. I remember when I first saw the video of Nothing Compares 2 U, I thought she was a very beautiful woman. Today the only thing I recognize is the haircut. If you told me that was a picture of an old Russian peasant that toiled all hers days in the sun, I wouldn't know any different.
  8. I can only assume others with the same model have had this issue. Surely there's a forum where someone has found a fix? I've never had the room for a bandsaw, so have no real experience with the day to day operation
  9. Jeff, Home Depot has steel bar stock in all sizes. They have 3/8" bar stock that you could cut to the length you need.
  10. I've always wanted to make wooden diffuser panels to put on the wall behind my speakers. It's art that serves a purpose.
  11. A damned expensive fire too!
  12. RIP Coolio.
  13. That's some high end JVC equipment there!
  14. Maybe not. Who really needs a bedroom?
  15. Those are going to be some gorgeous chairs. Really beautiful wood! I got your tulips right here. Though come to think of it, you've already kissed them.
  16. It's always sad to lose a member of this forum. But when that member is a personal friend It's even harder. Steve was a fantastic, giving human being. He departed too soon. If there is an afterlife, I hope you're having a great one Steve!
  17. Have a phenomenal day Santa!
  18. Thanks. I like the modern look.
  19. The painters will clear coat the White Oak, and paint the pickets White.
  20. Going to finish up today easily.
  21. Knocking asteroids off course is amazing and I'm all about this technology, but I find it kind of crazy that knocking sperm off course is controversial?
  22. I didn't have one for 1 1/2" dowel. Wish I did! It wasn't too far off though. Took about 10 minutes to do 11 dowels/pickets.
  23. The dowel stock wasn't quite round, so I had to do a little sanding on the ends of those. I need the right construction adhesive, so the pickets will get glued in in the morning.
