What did you do today?
It looked pretty much like any other toilet. It's a one piece, but I have no idea why it was so expensive. Chances are you may have some rot in the joists too. If so you can treat them with JASCO TERMIN-8 wood preservative to stop the rot from spreading, then sister some new wood to the old joists. I always recommend pressure treated in this application. Same with the subfloor, use pressure treated plywood under the toilet. Don't hesitate if you have any questions.

Marc I'm just a pretty face (hey it's my delusion!), but you know that I'm wanting a premium build. Do you want some form of payment from me now, or should we wait until the weekend and discuss it in person?

I think I'm gonna give the case Marc found a try. I can't even count the negative posts about Par Metal cases. Plus I like the way the side plates extend, it creates a perfect recess for a wooden faceplate.

Post the last thing you bought!
That's a question I thought might be too stupid to ask fierce_freak, but I have no idea. It is switched, the knob on the right is the output selector, and it has three settings. I'll check later to see if indeed a signal is always sent to loop out regardless of the switch.

While it may have made my penis extend a little when I opened the box, it's actually a Twisted Pear Audio balanced Darwin source selector. Basically it gives me 6 balanced inputs, 2 balanced outputs and a balanced loop output. This was really needed since I only have one balanced input on my Consonance integrated amp.

Post the last thing you bought!
Technically I bought it a while back, but it arrived today. This should give me all the balanced inputs and outputs I'll ever need.

I'd have to agree. Have you asked him to buy the amp back from you?

Finished My New Site; What Do You Think??
I like the buttons, especially the neon that lights up as you scroll over them.

What did you do today?
Installed a $700.00 toilet. They don't install any easier than a $150.00 toilet.

I think there are valid points on each side though, and I agree with Reks about Earl. He's very passionate, possibly over eager at times (as am I), maybe not easily swayed, but no shill.

NKOTB - TTVJ/Millett 307A Headphone Amp
Just a side note. Those K340s look like the pair I made Cocobolo caps for. If so those used to belong to Mikah (Redleader), and are not Headphiled, but DIY modded.

I can certainly understand supporting a maker that you've come to like. I can understand putting up with a certain amount of delays, because you really like the maker and his work. I consider myself very loyal to the people I've done business with that I like in this hobby. I've had some minor delays with some of them that don't bother me in the least. Heck I suffer from delayed production at times, and it's usually no fault of my own, or life steps in the way. Most of the builders I'm very loyal to are DIY builders that are just doing this part time, so it's not entirely the same situation. I could send pretty large sums of cash to Warrior05, Fitz, fierce-freak, Nate, looser101 or namaanf without ever loosing any sleep. They just exhibit the kind of character that gives me complete trust in them. That doesn't mean however that my fanboyism of said builders couldn't be broken. Documented proof of wrongdoing to any other member would probably put me off right then and there. Illegal activity like that spoken of in this thread would have me jumping ship and crying thief at the top of my lungs. But even delays of the length we're talking about here would have to play a major roll in my decision to find another builder, even if that meant another house sound. I don't know if the allegations toward Mikhail are true or not. I really have no opinion either way. I'm just stating that I can understand a certain amount of loyalty for a builder until a line is crossed, then it's time to reevaluate that loyalty.

I'm pretty sure it is. I've seen the moon reflecting the sun's light like that many times in Alaska. That kind of looks like a Russian Orthodox church in Alaska.- What did you do today?

No kidding! I tried giving away 7.11" once. Not only did I get the same kind of reactions, I also got arrested! Those High School girls have unrealistic expectations if you ask me.- slow forum

Yep, Corey Hart walked away without injury.- New Denon Cans
AT uses good quality exotic woods. They do use toners on some of their cups, but I think the idea behind that was to embody the Japanese Red lacquer technique, so that's quite acceptable to me. The Macassar Ebony on the W5000 is beautiful, and should set a standard for headphones in that price range.- New Denon Cans
For $1000.00 entry fee I as a wood snob expect much better. Let's forget about SQ for a second and just talk about aesthetics alone. My biggest bitch with the D5000 is the stained and overtoned wood cups. They have so much toner that you can barely make out any wood grain whatsoever. When you open the cans up you can see that Denon used a rather blah species of wood to start with. As a wood snob I feel that if you need to stain a wood you're using a substandard wood to begin with. I have no issue with this when the wood is not meant as the main feature of a product or if the price reflects the quality of the wood. However for $1000.00 price tag I expect a top notch exotic wood with a clear finish. I know that aesthetics are not the most important aspect of a headphone, but at this pricepoint one should expect great SQ, great comfort, great durability and great aesthetics IMO. - slow forum
