I'm seeing about $2,000.00 for the 50cc, and $2,500.00 for the 125cc. Are they available cheaper somewhere?

Just the fact that he's willing to jump in and try something that daunting is reason for respect. The realisation that he can not only accomplish it, but master it so quickly has me in complete awe. Naaman has made my top 5 Head-Fi/Head-Casers I'd like to meet in person list, and that's a lofty little group. Just astounding stuff Naaman!

I paid $350 for my K340 as well. Brand new, off the shelf of my local Audio dealer in 1985. What you also need to remember is that the choices of headphones in 85' were but a very small fraction of what's offered today, and an even smaller number of those were truely audiophile headphones. I thought at the time they were well worth it, and I agree that an updated modern version would have a great value.

Holey shit! I can't begin to say how impressive that is! I don't know your age, but you've built some crazy ass skills in a seemingly short period of time. My hat is off to you Sir!

What do I need in terms of vinyl accessories?

There are many methods. Here's one... Cleaning Vinyl Records Steam cleaning is supposed to work well too. Yet another involves rubbing the record on Fitz' head. -
Careful Smeggy, a less trustworthy person could edit that post with malice in mind. I've done so only to show what could happen when we're careless. Did I miss something?

Very cool video. What a great welcome home!

It would also give you spare parts which could be a really good thing. I'd say go for it.

If that's true my weenie would be so small I'd have a scab on my ass.

Well if table size and Penis size are related I've definitely won the game. However I, like you believe my ears to be the best tool to judge with. I think you're on the right track with your plans. I could build another sand box platform for the table to sit on if you find it might be benificial. Duals are a dime a dozen. You've got something much more rare and dare I say very hip there my friend. I just love the aesthetic. The fact that it sounds good is icing on the cake. Let's face it, it would be cool as audio sculpture alone.

Vinyl Engine is going to be a great source for answers to all of your questions. Oh and a Warhol on the wall behind that gear would only add to the aesthetic.

That TT is very sweet looking! Love the retro goodness, and that tonearm is vintage coolness. The Marantz is also very nice, and looks to be in damn nice condition. A+
-
I'd recommend not changing too much on that table. The retro goodness definitely has a value IMO. The high mass arm may be a good match for a Denon DL 103 somewhere down the line, but if it's sounding good ATM just enjoy it. Lovin' the table and the Marantz! My best advice would be to clean those records as best you can.

Audio Catalog I owned one and sold it to Grawk after buying a VPI platter w/ screw on Carbon Fiber clamp. This was pretty good though, and the price is excellent. Heck buy some of their Stainless cone feet too, and still have plenty left over. -
Those designs are really great. I especially like the bumpy texture to deaden the reflections, but it would be very tough to accurately calculate the interior volume of a similar design with the tools I have at hand. Still it really makes me want to go that extra step. I guess I could build a dummy unit and calculate the volume with sand.

Ooh, thanks. That link has given me some ideas.

^ That's only because you got the girl of your dreams. It'll pass.

I had a Honda Elite 150 in the mid 80's. I had it painted Black and had a stereo mounted. It was pretty cool, even if I could only ride it half the year.

Nate that MadAss is Bad Ass! Where did you dig this up? No shit, that's cool! Edit: Found it. I'd imagine that the 125 would probably do 55 - 60 mph, which would allow me to drive it into the city too.
-
Ooh, that's a nice looking strobe setup. Where did you find that Sir?
-
I'm still checking out your router table/table saw extension. Somehow I think we'd get along very well. Power tools and audio gear, it doesn't get any better! That woofer looks like it has some awesome travel. Waiting patiently for first impressions.

Of coarse I wouldn't dream of telling you how to handle your own personal business, but I will say that if it were me I'd wait until delivery before sending a dime. Even after agreeing to send partial payment upon receiving tracking numbers. If it's more than acceptable for Mihail to make promises he does not keep, then turning that around on him is more than justified in my mind. I can be very patient as long as I'm told the truth. Once lied to I loose all patience and respect. Of coarse once they arrived and everything met my satisfaction I'd send the promised payment. Good luck, I'll cross my fingers for you.

Fuckit! Laugh if you want, but after seeing these I'm seriously looking at the S50R Rally. The island I live on is full of old, fat farts on scooters, but I'm sure there's room for one more. Black of coarse.

What kind of rack is that on the Quad web site...

Duggeh mobilizes a hit squad to Hopstretch's home in such a mannor as to make Golda Meir look like a "turn the other cheek" passivist.
