  1. Dos virgin T-50RP.
  2. I can't say better really, just more to my taste. Although the T-50 is a very close second. I'll also add that I've not yet heard the "Smegginator" woody T-50RP yet, but that's soon to be resolved.
  3. I came to the same conclusion. I never liked the sound with the stock housing, no matter the mods. New housings turned them into an incredible headphone IMO. Still the best Ortho I've heard to date.
  4. Hell no! That's a sweet ride dude! Congratulations!!! Love the convertable hard top! OK, Well that was funny.

Strangely enough Duggeh, the tone of your voice fit perfectly with the character traits my mind had put together from pictures and posts of you from these past years. However my mind was not ready for what surely was not a Scottish accent. Not sure if that was an attemp at German or Austrian, but I'm left wondering if you studied at the Colin Mockery school of foreign accents.
  6. Contra Costa County also includes the upscale town of Walnut Creek, and somehow I don't see the nipped and tucked well to dos that live there settling for this. I can promise you that the first store owner that shoots and kills his assailant will turn things around immediately. And why wouldn't he or she do so, if they know that the D.A. will turn a blind eye to the theft.
  7. K1000 Duggeh Orthodome Mk. III Senn. 580 Klipsch Image X-10 Arriving soon...The "Smegginator" extremely modded woody T50RP.
  8. Yep, the PowerCon is my preferred method for umbilicle connection. And it twists to lock.
  9. Nice!
  10. Why were you in the closet?
  11. Sweet Smeggy! You have to post on the Beta22/K1000 combo. I'm sure the gurus here will get get you squared away.
  12. I bet a visit to your local powder coater wouldn't be too costly.
  13. Probably stranded copper wire, but I'll let a more experienced builder chime in.
  14. This is a superb guide to recabling the K1000. I almost feel like I could take on the task myself. I'm not that brave yet, but it's an excellent guide if I ever do decide to do it or have it done.
  15. I'm going to start my own USB cable company. Fuck the carbon and ERS paper, I'm going to wrap mine in bacon!
  16. From Texas I hope.
  17. I'm generally not a fan of Texas. It's just too hot for me in the summer. That being said Austin is a very nice town. Anchorage, Alaska is gorgeous in the summer. Winters are much milder in the Anchorage area than people realize, but they do last for 6 months, and that can get old. I lived in San Francisco for a few years and absolutely loved it. It is rather expensive to live there though. I also lived in Portland, Oregon for a while. I really liked it there, and I love the fact that woodworkers are well supported there. Eventually I plan to move to Portland or Seattle. I'm definitely a Northwest kind of guy.
  18. Fabtastic! You're really refining that mounting system too. It's really looking great.
  19. I prefered it to the Benchmark as well, but the Zhalou D2C w/Zapfilter completely obliviated the DA10 and Benchmark at 1/2 the cost. The Zapped Opus took it a step further, again at well below the Lavry and Benchmark price of admition.
  20. I love the way they look too, but I never could find the on/off switch. You'll love it Al! It'll take a little while to dial it in, but well worth the effort.
  21. Oh that's easy... That's tree wood. The Burled Maple cups look delicious!
  22. I'll keep that in mind. At $150.00 I couldn't pass it by.
  23. Get the cat to kill it!
  24. Mio C520 GPS. Now I can get where I'm going in the new wheels with minimal effort.
