  1. In Chekhontes defense you probably wouldn't make it to the toilet either if you had to pull your junk outa that bodytard.
  2. Not only do I not pee in the sink, I have to admit to something some may find a bit odd. When at someone elses home, if I need to pee, I kneel down on my knees so that no urine splashes onto the toilet seat rim. At home I sit to pee for the same reason. I keep telling myself that I should install a urinal in my bathroom. One day I might.
  3. Man what kind of sink do you have, 'cause you're one short motherfucker!
  4. Buy Porter-Cable 12" Dovetail Jigs, Deluxe Model 4212, Porter-Cable 12" Porter Cable 4212 Simple, elegant and stout. It's also extrememly easy to set up, and has built in depth gauges for setting your router bits.
  5. I love it! Can I use that name? ββQ22 A bit after luvdunhill repaired the smoked board I starting having more issues. Nate was generous enough to take a look. He's replacing at least the one fried board, and I think another that was having issues. After that the amp and sigma22 PS will both be recased in larger dovetailed wooden cases I made, as well as my TPA Darwin. Here's a sneak peek...

Do they make a model with a breast?
  7. Dew eeet!
  8. I'm wondering if that 1100 DAC is the one I owned breifly? I can't remember who I sold it to, but I was impressed with the sound. Congrats Renato!
  9. As the owner of a Bonfire β22 I must say that I don't believe the amp itself is to blame. In my case it was an unfortunate set of events in a meet setting, with too much going on around us. Before that the amp was stable as a rock for nearly a year. It's a damned fine amp, and I can't wait to put mine back in my system when it's finished being rebuilt. Gary I'm really sorry to hear about your issues. I must say that I don't think this was a good project to cut your teeth on though buddy. Hopefully you can recoupe some of your money.
  10. I happen to like the Super Zeros, at least for what they are. A sub is most definitely needed however.
  11. I am so damned impressed with Emotiva's little ERM-1 speakers that I'm definitely planning on buying their UMC-1 and UPA-7 amp at some point. The sound and build quality of these speakers are so far above their $149.00 ea. price tag it's not even funny. I just hope that their electronics hold that same build quality. We haven't heard any negative comments from Mike about his ERC-1 though. And his recommendation in this thread speaks to the quality IMO. I want him to buy a pair of XPA-1s, so we can hear about them in detail. Hurry up Mike!
  12. Happy Birthday!
  13. I don't know, I think peepee-hunter, peepee-lover, peepee-servicer all might fit him better. Either way it's missing something... -=peepee-servicer=- That's the ticket!
  14. Happy Birthday!
  15. So I've made my purchase. I bought a Denon AVR-1910 (same as the 790, but sold the the pro installer channel). A big thanks to Hopstretch for digging around, finding the deal through an authorized Denon dealer and providing me with a name and phone #! I did figure out that the Yamaha will play in surround mode through the digital in with satellite broadcast HD movies. I'm assuming that the Oppo is either too high of a bit rate for the Yamaha, or incompatible in some other way. Anyone interested in the Yamaha can find a slammin' deal in the sale forums.
  16. Denon AVR-1910
  17. Thanks guys! That is the kind of useful info I need. The Oppo also uses Anchor Bay processing. So the Denon stays at the top of the list for now.
  18. So from what I've been able to find it looks as though my two best options are the Denon AVR-790... [ame=http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR790-7-1-Channel-Multi-Zone-Connectivity/dp/B002AKKFQW]Amazon.com: Denon AVR790 7.1-Channel Multi-Zone Home Theater Receiver with 1080p HDMI Connectivity: Electronics[/ame] And the Onkyo TX-SR607... FadFusion.com: Onkyo TX-SR607B TXSR607B RECEIVERS-ONKYO TX-SR607 STEREO Both look to be excellent choices for my budget, but I'm leaning a bit towards the Onkyo for it's added features (6 HDMI inputs, 2 subwoofer outputs & Faroudja DCDi Edge). Not to mention that I can get the Onkyo for about $40.00 less than the Denon. It's been mentioned that Denon and Onkyo are both favorites, so any preferences here?

    Kitty Talk

That will be my next cat one day in the near future! I've wanted the Canadian Hairless for quite some time. I just think they're awesome. I won't mention the Red body-tard.
  20. Oh, and he's my Brotha from anotha Motha.
  21. If I decide to use the Oppo as an SACD player (and I might) I will use the Buffalo 32 DAC which supports DSD, and my Beta22. The Denon has the newer Blu-ray codecs like Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio and Dolby Pro Logic IIz decoding. Since about 75% of my veiwing is going to be Blu-ray movies, that's pretty appealing to me. The 1080 upconversion for analog signals also is quite useful. He can answer that better than I, but he's an installer + a lot more. He installs just about everything if memory serves, but his abilities go way beyond that. I'm quite sure he's a major asset to the company, as he's one of those guys that can find solutions where none seem to exist.
  22. So after a bit more research I see that stepping up to the Denon AVR-790 gets me 1080P upconversion from analog signals over HDMI, whereas the 590 upconverts to 480. This will be usefull for non HD satelite channels. Also it adds two more surround channels if I want to add more speakers at some point, and offers a bit more power per speaker. Four HDMI inputs instead of two, which would be really handy if I decide to go with a gaming system like the xbox 360 elite. It's $100.00 more, but seems to be well worth the added cost.
  23. Yeah, as it stands right now that Denon AVR590 that Stretch pointed out looks to have everything I want at a really good price. I just don't wanna jump the gun again, so I'll spend a little more time researching things. I know this is really in your arena Fitz, so I may PM you with questions on dialing in my gear if that's cool?
  24. That Denon is really appealing, especially at that price point! It's definitely different. I kind of like it, but I'd really need to spend a lot more time with it to come to any real conclusions. My headphones are all difficult to drive, and that makes it tough to really evaluate it. But I'd make you a slammin' deal, and you could spend all the time you need with it.
  25. Understood, however Yamaha has left a sour taste in my mouth at this point.
