Need another amp
I think guzzi meant that it's neutral but still very musical. I don't want to put words in his mouth though, but that's how I feel about the β22.

At least we can be thankful that it's California burning, and not an important state.

We'll all expect our fresh baked cupcakes within the week! The only substitution we'll except is keylime pie.

I completely agree. I ran across some nice dipole in walls recently, but can't remember where. Ah, here we go... Bi-Pole/Di-Pole Surround Speakers Ooh, and I like these... http://www.independentaudiovideo.com/store/item_view.asp?estore_itemid=1005128#

Anyone know anything about reel to reel?
I used to tape my albums onto HiFi VHS. I also had an $1,100.00 Sony BetaMax HiFi VCR that recorded in Beta 1 speed. That worked really well for parties and the like. It kept people from fidgeting with my turntable, which meant certain death if I caught them. It didn't have the versatility of reel to reel, but it was simple to use, the tapes were cheap and the sound quality was pretty good.

You can run it there. It'll be good practice for the marathon.

HT Upgrade
Yeah, good point Dusty. That was the factor that ultimately brought me to the Plasma. My bedroom is nice and dark. If I were to set one up in my living room, I'd go with LCD, due to the brightness factor. Also, even the new Plasmas like the G10 series still put off a fair amount of heat. Enough so that I upgraded my window unit air conditioner.

I'm trying to resist for Dusty's sake, but you're makin' it damn hard!

What are you EATING right now?
Just finishing up a big pot of Pinto beans. I like just salt and pepper for seasoning, a big onion diced up and tossed in before cooking and real ham hocks are a must. I soak my beans overnight, so they cook up in just a few hours. We eat them Southern style, with the beans and juice piled on top of fresh baked cornbread. Should be ready in about 30 minutes.

When you look like this in grade school, becoming the class clown isn't one option...it's the only option.

HT Upgrade
Having just recently built my own HT, I've done a lot of research, and came to the same conclusion...The Panny G10 series was the best picture for the dollar I found (and one of the best at any price). I bought the 50", and the largest size available is 54". I also wanted relatively flat speakers I could hang on the wall. Not finding what I wanted in my price range, I made my own by building a flattish box approx. 7' wide x 14" high x 7" deep. Then I purchased in wall L, R and Center speakers and cut the baffle accordingly. I used pillow stuffing in the box, and it mounts to the wall with threaded studs mounted to the wall studs (that way I could hang it on the studs while I attached the nuts and washers). I made a similar, somewhat smaller box to mount on the ceiling for my surround speakers (in ceiling, round speakers with rotatable tweeters). But just mounting them in the ceiling would be a great choice in most situations. The box and speaker grills could even be painted to match the wall for an even more stealthy look (high wife approval factor).
