I'm contemplating an update for my PC. A new quad core/mobo/video card would comprise most of the updating, but new HDs and two new Blu-ray burners might be in the scope. That is if there's some reliable Blu-ray copying software available. I like the idea of making copies of my favorite Blu-ray movies. Anyone have any experience with Blu-ray copying yet?

I used to tape my albums onto HiFi VHS. I also had an $1,100.00 Sony BetaMax HiFi VCR that recorded in Beta 1 speed. That worked really well for parties and the like. It kept people from fidgeting with my turntable, which meant certain death if I caught them. It didn't have the versatility of reel to reel, but it was simple to use, the tapes were cheap and the sound quality was pretty good.

Yeah, good point Dusty. That was the factor that ultimately brought me to the Plasma. My bedroom is nice and dark. If I were to set one up in my living room, I'd go with LCD, due to the brightness factor. Also, even the new Plasmas like the G10 series still put off a fair amount of heat. Enough so that I upgraded my window unit air conditioner.

Just finishing up a big pot of Pinto beans. I like just salt and pepper for seasoning, a big onion diced up and tossed in before cooking and real ham hocks are a must. I soak my beans overnight, so they cook up in just a few hours. We eat them Southern style, with the beans and juice piled on top of fresh baked cornbread. Should be ready in about 30 minutes.
