  1. Is it as happy a place as it looks Todd?
  2. I know exactly what you mean. I feel exactly the same way about the Colossus. In fact I'm kind of honored that it'll be in such good hands. I'm sure your upcoming amp project will have the same aura about it.
  3. My Dad and Brothers always did the same, and as far as I know my Brothers still do. They're the great White hunters of the North, so they should be well versed on gun maintenance.
  4. No, but the cutout switch Nate installed in the amp will insure it's return to Mike. It disables the amp once it crosses the threshold of Mike's door.

    Kitty Talk

My outside Cat (Momma or Momma Girl) had another litter. She actually had two kittens, but one didn't make it through the first day. She brought it to me to fix, but there was nothing I could do. She didn't hold it against me though. So meet Solo. She brings it out every day, so I can pet and talk to it. That will make it much easier to transition it to it's new home once weaned. My painter has dibs on Solo, so it will have a good, loving home. Congrats on your soon to be new addition Dusty!
  6. Saw these on A-gon today. And it turns out the seller is xand1x. These are going to work great for an upcoming speaker rig, and the price was awesome. They're the balanced monos.
  7. In a thong even.
  8. Nice post count Justin! 1,111
  9. What's that smudge down inside the tube? Oops...nevermind!
  10. Monkey, I've been clickin' for three hours, and it still won't let me look inside!
  11. Yeah, I didn't use my 18th Birthday present either. After 30 years on the shelf, that hooker's looking a bit foosty too.
  12. I'll trade you Nate's wife for that stack!
  13. You've said it all with your cocky arrogance Scotsman. We shall soon have the plans in our grubby mits at your soonest wrong move. The minions are gathering as we speak!

That came across as the very Anglo Saxon version of 'gettin' jiggy'. As in... "As soon as I find a suitable place to set my Scotch and soda, I'm going out to that dance floor and getting Bobby with it."
  15. No, not really. The Thunderdome prototype is really just fancy rhetoric. In reality it's just Tina Turner sitting piggy backed on his shoulders, singing. There is little to no listening fatigue, but the back fatigue is hell after 30 minutes. He has to keep adjusting her on his shoulders, and there's one position where one forgets all about the music reproduction, and just gets lost in velvety richness.
  16. Hey, how'd you know about my girlfriend teaching me this? OK, it's good to see you have a sense of humor, you may do OK here after all.
  17. Is a hooker the standard 18th year Birthday present over there, as it is here?
  18. You know, it's funny that nobody here has mentioned it yet, but here at Head-Case we've had a fantastic discovery. Now we are a little bit secretive about it, so don't go telling non members about it please. OK, here's what you do...Take your headphones, in your case the AKG K701 (the K701 really is a great headphone for this discovery BTW), cut off the existing TRS phono plug at the end of the cable. Now stay with me here and follow my instructions to the tee, or this won't work properly. Strip about 5 inches of bare wire from the end of the cable (all three or four wires, depending on your specific cable). Now here's where you need to follow the instructions very carefully...PLACE THE HEADPHONES ON YOUR HEAD BEFORE MOVING TO THE NEXT STEP! Now here's where there's a little discrepency between members, some say to place the wires directly into your homes electrical outlet at this point, but I prefer the sound quality from method #2...Take all the bare wires and twist them together. Are you done twisting the wires? OK, now take the bare wires with a little bit of Crisco (trademarked) and slide them as far up your ass as you can get them. No, farther than that, you can do it! Now fart!
