  1. Now the trick is finding flexible screws to drive.

I bet they handed Tyll that handicap tag when he walked through the door wearing those Ergos.
  3. I've not heard the HD800, but I have heard the WA6 and β22. I think both are great amps. I do find the β22 to be the more neutral of the two, so from what your wants are you may like the Woo better. It would be optimal to try both before buying of coarse.
  4. I was walking down the signal path once, and I saw this wolf. He wanted to help me find my Grandma's house. But something made me feel uneasy. So I took my gun out from my picnic basket and pumped lead into his ass. Oh, I didn't see any transformers.
  5. Thank goodness she wasn't seriously hurt Al.

Cute! Looks like he's settling in just fine.
  7. Bastard!!! The YH-1000 was my first high end headphone. I bought them in the early '80s, but the strut broke within a year. I replaced them with a new K340, but I'd love to find a YH-1000 again. Congrats! Give 'em lots-o-luv!

  9. Surely you didn't expect something more clever? This is after all American advertising.
  10. Even more odd is that GEICO stands for Government Employee Insurance Company, so a British mascot for a company catering to U.S. Government employees seems stranger yet. Although the company has offered insurance to the general public for quite some time now.
  11. It doesn't have to be by a famous artist to be cool. 'Buy what you like' is a good rule to go by.
  12. From the ad agency... "We do not have artist for the ‘ink blot’ painting featured in GEICO’s “Trust Exercise” TV spot. It was just something thrown together on set by a prop assistant and then tweaked electronically in edit." I believe that's the same painting they're talking about. Kandinsky is for the most part a cubist, who uses vivid colors in his paintings, so I thought you were way off base. But after a little digging I did find this... So it would seem you were not so far off after all.
  13. Congrats Renato! And this will be driven with...?
  14. Not to try to outdo you two, but 104F with 30% humidity sounds downright pleasant. 102F with 75% humidity here today. The heatwave started in June this year, and there's been no relief in sight. OK, you got me beat!
  15. Nebby, if you don't mind my asking, where do you get your veneers? Those SR-71s look stunning BTW!

He did a concert here just last week. It's a tour with Willie and Mellencamp. Willie is always good. Mellencamp rocked the house! And Dylan, though never known as a singers singer was absolutely terrible! Not only did he sound really, really bad, but he didn't play anything prior to his 90s' recordings.
  17. Happy Birthday!
  18. Age is a minor factor. You smoke a pipe, so you automatically qualify. Now sitting in it in nothing but boxer shorts is more age related. I doubt you're at that point yet, for better or worse. Why didn't I think of that?
  19. How do you get out of it?
  20. Is it as happy a place as it looks Todd?
  21. I know exactly what you mean. I feel exactly the same way about the Colossus. In fact I'm kind of honored that it'll be in such good hands. I'm sure your upcoming amp project will have the same aura about it.
  22. My Dad and Brothers always did the same, and as far as I know my Brothers still do. They're the great White hunters of the North, so they should be well versed on gun maintenance.
  23. No, but the cutout switch Nate installed in the amp will insure it's return to Mike. It disables the amp once it crosses the threshold of Mike's door.
