  1. The shipping cost on the F5 would be prohibitive, it's frickin' heavy. Not to mention that it's case is not fully assembled.

^ Man I love that story line!

    Paradigm SE 3

I thought maybe he had special editing privileges.
  5. What amps will be present? IMO both the T50 v1 and the LCD-1 can take full advantage of an upscale, powerful amp. Also, I believe I have both a 4 pin XLR to dual 3 pin XLR adapter and 4 pin XLR to TRS, if needed. Marc can drop them in the same box (Both LCD-1 and T50 v1 are terminated 4 pin XLR).

Did you think that we'd be out of space later?

They were selling them at shipping cost a while back ($5.00 ea.), and I bought 6. They are indeed decent, not an heirloom, but more than worth $5.00.
  8. The amp has both speaker binding posts and a 4 pin XLR jack. We were using my integrated through the preamp outputs to control volume. I left Marc with my passive preamps for that purpose, but I'm not sure how they're working out.
  9. Sorry to hear about your finger Nate. I hope it's not the really important one.
  10. Next Saturday (the 17th). FWIW Marc's modded LCD-1 is the best orho I've yet heard.
  11. Happy Birthday Al! See you Saturday!

    Kitty Talk

That's funny! Well pelottomia means fearless in Finish. I kind of like the sound of it. You could call her pelo for short.

    Kitty Talk

Earl it's usualy these circumstances that end up bringing the right people and animals together. This little kitty obviously feels very loved and protected in it's new home, and will no doubt reward you with a lifetime of love back. Great feel good story on what's a stormy day down here!
  14. I believe that's correct.
  15. Well Colin, Ice is ice, but if there's a layer of snow on top of that ice, it'll be very crunchy feeling at -40. And please don't attempt to sign your name in the snow at -40, leave that to us experts. There is a glacier just 30 miles south of Anchorage (Portage Glacier), and we would stop there on our road trips to fill our igloo cooler with glacier ice. It's so dense that it last much, much longer that common ice. It's a pretty Blue color too.
  16. I imagine I'd feel at home in Iceland too. You know you're living somewhere too hot, when your fillings melt.
  17. Although "Churn my butter winch" may have a meaning all it's own, I meant to type churn my butter wench. Obviously you understood that though.
  18. The sunsets are gorgeous! Lots of Purple...
  19. Wrong thread
  20. Sunrise and sunsets last maybe 30-45 minutes in Anchorage, during the Winter months. A day is just a day. Alaska Winters are more chain drive than belt drive.
  21. Being a K1000 owner, I'm not too worried about appearances. I kind of like the Lost In Space look too. This picture is classic though! Kind of reminds me of a neo-bonnet look... Churn my butter winch!
  22. 4-5 hours for the shortest days in Anchorage. I would go out into the back yard and talk to this particular Moose. He seemed to like that. He'd get about 4' from me, and just watch my every move. He was raised in the downtown area. His Mother visited my yard often when he was just a few weeks old. The big Cottonwood tree in my backyard was his bed. Well under the tree that is.
  23. Congrats Dusty, you'll love it! I still need to pick up an SACD to play on mine.
  24. There are probably more deaths from Moose than Bears. They're very unpredictable. I did have a really friendly young bull Moose that slept in my back yard all Winter.

    Misheard Lyrics

Well actually Manfred Mann fucked up the lyrics of that song. Bruce Springsteen wrote... "And she was blinded by the light Cut loose like a deuce another runner in the night". Manfred sang... "Blinded by the light, revved up like a deuce, another runner in the night".
