  1. Thanks everyone. I'm 49 today, so this will be my last official Birthday. I've chosen to be perpetually 49 from here on out.
  2. I blushed through the whole thing, and wasn't comfortable until it was over. I swear I have boxer shorts older than she was. I make a bad perv.
  3. I don't have pics. The guys took some, but they'll never see the light of day.
  4. Got ambushed by the guys at lunch today. A cop came in asking about my car. I should have known there was no way a female cop would look that good, but it honestly didn't cross my mind. Then when she asked me to step out of the restaurant I saw a couple of the guys trying to hold back a snicker and caught onto the gig. She kept everything covered, but just. The waitresses gave me hell all through lunch, but it was fun.
  5. We don't forget you just because you haven't posted in a while. We still remember that philodox guy, well kind of.
  6. Have a great one!
  7. You're on a roll, congrats!
  8. Happy Birthday!
  9. Agreed. Most vintage receivers back in the day put out between 25-45 WPC RMS. Therefore most speakers built in that same timeline required very similar power demands. The NAD amps are quite capable of driving the 8 ohm Akais.

    Beyer T1

I'd most certainly argue with that statement. The HD-650 was definitely a leading headphone before the HD-800 came along, as were the HD-580 and HD-600 before that. And AKG was definitely making top tier headphones with the K340, K501 and later K701. The K1000 was and continues to be ground breaking. Sony, Audio-Technica, Grado, and Stax probably sold less volume than Senn., AKG and Beyer. The fact that you might not care for the above mentioned headphones does not make them any less of a marketable success. P.S. If I thought I could get away with it, I'd most definitely name my business 'Ebony Erections Audio'. Yes I just noticed that.
  11. Must be the K1000 speaker adapter/extension cable I gave you. Glad it found some good use after all.
  12. Nice!
  13. OK, I admit it, I'm a lesbian.
  14. Yay Stretch!
  15. I met Phil once at the UniSea Inn bar in Dutch Harbor. This was long before he was on the TV show ('92ish). He was really wanting to see the ship I fished on (F/T Ocean Rover), which was at that time the most modern, luxurious and best producing factory trawler in the Bering Sea. So anyway he came on board for a tour and regaled us with stories of crab fishing. Needless to say it was a lot of fun watching him on Deadliest Catch later. RIP Phil
  16. I was the first to say "Colt-45, It works every time", but they gave the fucking credit to Lando Calrissian!
  17. That truly sucks! Do not settle for anything less than a perfect repair!
  18. Just send $79.99 and make the check out to the Head-Case CanJam Liquor Fund.
  19. I hope to hear them Al.
  20. I don't hate either of you. The more Grados you two buy, the fewer I have to listen to. OK, OK...It was just a joke. Ease up Grado fanboys. Seriously, Congratulations both of you. I would like to hear the mighty PS-1 someday. Since it's definite that I'll make CanJam this year, that may be the time and place.
  21. True that, but I'll be OK with not owning the latest DAC once that happens. Heck my headphones are 20 years old! It'll be nice to settle into a rig for a while.
  22. I've only done a very short part of that drive. A few years ago I drove my Aunt back to Texas from Vegas. We visited my Brother in Lake Havasu City and took I-40 as far as Amarillo. There is some beautiful scenery! It was about this time of year, and we saw a little bit of snow in Flagstaff, but nothing that gave us any problems. Should be a great adventure you'll remember forever! Have a great time! All season radials would not be a bad choice if possible.
  23. My DAC has been in a perpetual state of wood for about 14 years now. That did come close to changing recently, when the Connery/Zardoz pic was posted though.
