  1. That really sucks Nate! Hope you're better soon!
  2. Happy Birthday Naaman! Have a great day!

    Canjam 2010.

Me too! Good save, but Alaska is close enough to a foreign country at any rate, so I should qualify regardless.

It looks like I'll be arriving early Thursday morning and leaving Sunday morning. Marc and I are flying in together from Austin, and I'll be sharing a room with Fitz, so it should prove to be a blast!
  5. I kind of like the freaky vampire chick. Very Tim Burton.
  6. I can't see you being disappointed with that decision. Smeggy does absolutely excellent work!

If those are coffins please bury me in one. Those are stunning.
  8. Nice! I was really hoping you would by a V series Caddy, so I could live vicariously through you.
  9. Gotta build that right hand back up Marc. That's not a problem for us single guys.
  10. Happy Birthday!
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Are you considering building this yourself Doug?
  13. Happy Birthday!
  14. The spacers are there to keep the heat away from the board, or to better cool the part? Very nice looking work Inu!
  15. Excellent! Yeah, I started with full toe out too. It always surprises me how many people I see with them toed in all the way, as I never liked them there.
  16. Damn! That's really nice work, actually pretty incredible given the size of the original wire! I'll have to stick with wood, as that's beyond my capabilities for certain. I see the overspray you were referring to. It's a damn shame the way some people treat their gear. Justin that's close to where I like my toe out as well. Maybe about 40% out.
  17. Thanks guys! I'm afraid my age is indeed catching up with me though, as I over did it a bit Wednesday with the demo of some old decks, and I've been bed bound with a strained back since. It's not actually a back injury, just very tight muscles in my lower back area from lifting beams and ledgers that were too heavy. That and trying to keep up with the younger guys on my crew that are pretty gung ho. This is the first time I've experienced any kind of back problem whatsoever, and the timing with my 49th Birthday has me feeling very mortal. This is life's way of telling me that it's time to delegate more.
  18. I doubt that I'd ever want to leave your DIY den Nate. I'm aware of the goodness those Quads provide, and the rest of the system looks quite tasty as well.
  19. I don't even understand how one would go about repairing that. Can you take an after pic, so that it makes more sense to me?
  20. I did consider the idea of adding a passive volume control to the Darwin at one point, and still think that would be the ultimate balanced passive pre-amp, but I no longer really have that need since the Buffalo II will have attenuation. Sorry about the faulty repair Mike.
  21. Is this the one to take over the world and split the control?
  22. Just thinking about messing with such tiny wires makes my stomach crawl.
  23. That looks suspiciously like metal shavings caused from drilling into sheet metal. How the hell they got into a K1000 driver is beyond me. I suspect this guy had his screens off like some people rave about, and was DIYing something much too close to the headphones. Miguel is damned lucky that he chose you to fix them! You da man Fitz!
  24. Happy Birthday Colin!
  25. Happy Birthday Head-Case, my second home!
