While I do love Attenborough's narrations, I thought Oprah did a great job with Life and I happen to like the lady.

My system is a mix of vintage and new/DIY gear. The retro side consists of my Sansui TU-888 tuner that I really love, my AKG K1000 that is still my all time favorite headphone, my Tice Audio (no relation) Multi Branch power conditioner and my Parasound C/BD-2000 belt driven CD transport. The modern gear is all DIY and consists of a balanced 4 channel β22 w/dual σ22s, a TPA balanced Darwin source selector and an incoming, all out Buffalo II DAC being built by Naaman as we speak. This mix has culminated into my dream rig. With the exception of the Buffalo which I haven't yet heard, but my high hopes are well supported.

Oh he's cool alright. He's inspired me immensely in the last few weeks. Can't wait to meet him and the rest of you fine individuals next week!

I'm liking it so far. Olyphant has a lot to do with that at this point, although character development is coming along. The music intro is a weird mix of Cowboy/HipHop, but it really works. When I hear the theme music I immediately get wound up for the episode.

Well I could certainly build it. The cost of audio stands is outrageous! An 80/20 build is still in my future at some point.

That's funny! But if I can get you to a point that you can finish up the speakers, then I could build you something exactly like that, only deeper. That actually looks like a fun project, but I'd wager the time involved would be infinitely greater than the time involved in lighting up a momentary switch on a certain β22. The cost to build vs. buy a piece of furniture like that will be substantial.
