And now what did you do TODAY?
I miss my Paradigm Reference Active 20s. The actives had a bit more lower frequency energy, but useful to about 40-45Hz. However, once I employed (two) 10" active subs (Rocket UFW10), and switched to the high pass filter they really opened up. I'd recommend a good 10" sub, as I think the faster speed is a better match than the larger drivers. If I were buying today I'd probably try the Emotiva X-Ref 10.

DIY PASS F5 BUILD THREAD
Dredging up one of my old threads to reveal a happy ending. Marc and I (Marc) were unable to get the F5 to play in any kind of stable manner back in May of 2009. Well Marc wanted some help with his new corner horn project this past weekend, and kind of as a way to entice me up there I guess, he broke the news that the F5 was alive and in top form. It seems he spent a lot of time getting it to that point...new PCBs, major tweaks to the power supply and some resistors to play well with the K1000. She looks and sounds fantastic! It's a little bit of a different flavor for the K1000, and a nice compliment to the β22. And it sounds amazing with my custom built speakers.

System Overhaul Thread
The corner horns are going to be the shizzle yo! And the two mono F4 amps driving them will be nothing less than HC overkill at it's finest.

For those who've not seen it. It was one of Tammy Wynettes last recordings, and I thought it was pretty cool.

If you don't put thumbtacks on your snooze button you just may.

I've never used a snooze button. I guess I'm one of those easy riser types.

Dr. Wood heartily approves of this effort! Great looking case Nate, and Lily will appreciate it even more as she grows older. The things I have that my Grandfather made me are more precious than gold. Great looking bookcase! I have the same Stanley Fatmax sawhorses. I love those things!

Case painting help
It may be worth it for some of you to do your own powder coating. It's not that difficult. You'll need a dedicated oven (it's not safe for food after powder coating), but ovens with bad stove burners are easy to find dirt cheap. And Eastwood makes a nice kit, and sells the powder as well... http://www.eastwood.com/hotcoat-elite-powder-coat-kit.html Relatively inexpensive, if doing multiple cases or items.
