I had pabbi1's pair of HD800s for a month or so, just after they first hit the market, and while I thought they were a technically accurate headphone, they just lacked soul to my ears. But now I hear that the Beta22/HD800 combo is a bland combination, so I'm interested in hearing them again with more favorable amplification.

As a well known Gay Thought Leader, I've decided I'm missing the boat by not offering my own series of amplifiers for the headphone market. Our first offering from Rainbow Audio will be named the Liquid Lube. I have no pics available at this time, but expect a silky smooth presentation. Our second offering will be named Top & Bottom... Expect a more aggressive presentation, and a small shriek upon insertion of the TRS jack.

We'll just have to differ on that point. However in no way am I defending that man. I think he had a mental illness early on, but it wasn't until he had the opportunity to have full control over his followers that the spiral downward into hell really got going. There was a time when he was able to keep himself in check, and appear normal to most. Just the same as Jeffrey Dahmer would not have been able to lure so many men to his apartment had he not had the ability to blend and appear normal.

Yep. My point was, he didn't start out as a paranoid, batshit crazy dictator. There was once a time in San Francisco when he was considered a thought leader. He did lots of charity work, and was a man of the people.

Covet is the word that best comes to mind, and usually anytime your gear is shown. That is a beautiful amp/ps, and I can't think of a better home for it. Really looking forward to hearing the comparisons to the BHSE. Major congrat on your first DIY outing! Sounds like you held your own. Now about that stand.

Even if he gets his shit together, he needs to consult someone else before naming his amps. I wouldn't want to buy an amp named Liquid Lightning, Liquid Fire or Exstata. Did he work for Hot Wheels previously, or what?
