However, for this kind of monetary layout I'd have to give some consideration to some more established names. The NAD M2 comes to mind. It has garnered stellar reviews. The cool thing about Corian though is that you can use a Drimmel tool to make the edges look like chipped stone. I did this on some table tops I made some years ago. Similar to this... Might make a unique faceplate too.

I think that is the 'real' Gene Simmons, and what I've always found kind of fascinating is that a guy who probably does get women falling at his feet on a regular basis, can be so insecure.
