  1. Nice tip, I may use that one myself. I hate the feel of a faucet that wants to slide around.
  2. Put the supply lines on the faucet first! Then install the faucet. So much easier that way.
  3. You're gay??? You didn't forget your silencer, did you?
  4. Good advice. I love oscillating tools! Also, penetrating oil will still pull itself into the threads, even upside down. I'd heat the threaded tubes first (after applying the penetrating oil), then see if that helps. Carl, I hope you didn't have to buy the car just to get to the movie!
  5. Not only a beautiful bike Nate, but what a gorgeous backdrop! Very cozy looking town. I do believe I see Miss Lily in the back seat.
  6. If he's making poor business decisions and holding peoples money, I'll be the first to back up the folks that deserve their money back. I have no issue calling out shady dealings. I have no knowledge of such, as I don't visit the other site. I just wanted to be straight about the Lotus, but yet I agree that if it comes down to selling off property to do right by your customers, then that should be done. Most business people see to it that business assets and personal assets are well separated though. There's still a moral obligation IMO, especially when one starts out as a member of said group he's now doing business for.
  7. I just cleaned them with my cordless drill last week!
  8. Don't give away the secret!
  9. I'm not sure what the facts are, so I won't comment on the alleged problems you've discussed. What I do know for sure is that Alex bought his (used) Lotus several years ago. Certainly well before the time frames you're speaking of. So let's at least get our facts straight before we drag someone through the mud. And don't make stupid assumptions.
  10. Is that called a faugh or a lart?
  11. swt61 prefers King Crab!
  12. No shit! you live in fucking Montana! Colder here today as well. Expecting a high of only 82.
  13. Oddly enough, very similar to the cables that were on there previously.
  14. So the Schiit cables arrived today. They are Straight Wire cables, probably made in shorter length for Schiit. Very good quality, and guess what? 6" between connectors. They fit perfectly. For $20.00 per pair I can definitely recommend these. Thanks Grahame and Nate!
  15. Happy Birthday gents!
  16. He just started sending an iPad mini with every Pico. It has the manual downloaded in it.
  17. I still own two Seiko watches that I've had for years. One is a mariner that I don't know the model number (silver w/gold inlay in band, and Blue bezel. Paid about $400.00 in about '87, the other, a Seiko Lassale. A Gold toned dress watch from about the same time period. Super thin and about $600.00 IIRC. They both still work perfectly, but I rarely wear a watch anymore.
  18. Ah, I see, that does change things. I actually quite like your rack mount metal shelves. They could be powdercoated to look better. A hammered Copper finish perhaps, or something matching an existing rug, throw pillow etc...
  19. Making a custom hanging rack is not difficult, but I think with that weight requirement whatever you get is going to need to be mounted to two of your existing wall studs, via lag bolts. A custom rack of 3/4" cabinet grade Baltic Birch comes to mind, because you can cut out rectangular holes on the side panels, between the shelves, to lighten the look, without compromising structure. Veneer the pieces with Walnut veneer (to match your Core Audio racks), but leave the plywood edges raw (sanded, rounded and stained to match the walnut, but with that cool, modern look of the layered plywood veneer cores). If I were more proficient at drawing on the computer, I could get the design idea across better.
  20. What's up with your wrist? Which team are you pitching for again?
  21. Maybe the Zdac will have a similar sound signature?
  22. I did not realize that the McLaren used the Star Trek badging. Do Trekkies buy a lot of exotics today?
  23. Nice X4! I had one of Cannondale's first Mt. Bikes, the "Red Shred". I loved that beast! Circa 1987 IIRC.
  24. Well fine, make me feel like a pauper with only two DACs.
