  1. That path was enormous. The destruction is on a massive scale. Hoping that the deaths remain low.
  2. ^ You own Benchmark? Wow!
  3. Serious tornadoes in the midwest! Stay safe Naaman and others!
  4. Chocolate covered bacon FTW!
  5. Well I'll admit that before being corrected, I did not believe it would work, even rudimentally.
  6. My point is how good would it sound using only a low pass filter? I can take a household needle and make a cone from paper to play back a vinyl record too, but it'll sound like shit, so what's the point.
  7. I'm sure Shelly could re-route monies saved into her cocktail/spirits fund.
  8. I'd have to hear it to be convinced.
  9. Dusty, I recommend "Mind of a Chef" on PBS. Excellent show, and they regularly explain Umami.
  10. I never thought I'd say these words, but "where would you find the meat"?
  11. No shit! I think you'd need a low pass filter and MERLIN to turn a digital signal into analog without a DAC.
  12. Shelly have you tried any DSD files yet?
  13. Wow, you straight guys really are naive!
  14. I was not aware of this collaboration. Thanks!
  15. Happy Birthday!

    The Killing

The preview for this season looks good!
  17. Great, now I'm craving a good Gyro, with no local outlet for one.

    The Killing

    Lookin' forward to it!
  19. Happy belated Birthday Justin!
  20. Try cooking your meat pies longer.
  21. Not exclusively, but I use it with custom built two way monitors w/5" Scan Speak woofers & SB Acoustics ring radiating tweeters. They're moderately efficient, and this amp drives them with ease. I just use my DAC's volume control (volume controlled at the DAC chip), which works very well. Someone mentioned driving Quad stats with the amp, with good results. A tube pre isn't necessary, as the amp's signature is anything but dry. A similar signature to my old PASS F5 (DIY), but I actually prefer the Pioneer. I'd imagine an Adcom GFP-750 pre would be a great match, as you could go passive with a hot enough source.
  22. I remember the amp from HF, back in the day. It still looks just as awe inspiring today!
  23. Happy Birthday!
