I've had bacon marinated in Grand Marnier, and that was pretty good. Just seemed whiskey marinated bacon would appeal to some here.

Have any of you whiskey aficionados ever marinated bacon in whiskey before cooking?

At 18 I had what I thought then was a decent system. Phase Linear amp, Carver pre-amp, Yamaha TT and ESS AMT 1D's with the big Heil air motion transformers. Any time one of my peers would suggest his crappy Cerwin Vega/Optimus rig (the favorite of teens of that time) would keep up, I'd crank that record up on their system. None of my friends knew what was coming, and many a woofer saw it's demise.

I'd recommend just buying an old '80's linear tracking table off of ebay. Technics, Sony, JVC etc...For less that $100 you'll have a pretty decent sounding TT, and the P mount cartridges can be had very cheaply.

When I was twelve years old, I was riding my bike around the neighborhood. Suddenly a van pulled beside me and Stiller and Meara jumped out and forced me inside the van. Yes, I was abducted by the comedy duo. They took me back to a rundown house, where another abducted child named Ben was being held. That's right, he's not their real son. I was held for three years before escaping. I spent my time training the rats in the basement, and was finally able to overthrow the comedy duo by a rat coup. My rat leader, also named Ben, after the other abductee, was able to talk the other rats into cornering the comedy duo, but I couldn't talk Ben, the child, into leaving with me. By the time I was able to call the cops, the house was empty, except for Ann's bra, a small amount of rat fur and the John Denver 8 track we had been forced to listen to daily. During my captivity I always told myself that if I ever were able to live a life of my own, I would buy some better audio equipment and assassinate John Denver. I was able to accomplish both goals, and even made the assassination look like an accidental plane crash.

Yeah, I'd been away too long.

The style of bike that interests me these days is an upright, cruiser style. But a more stripped down version. The two on the top of my dream list would be the 2015 Indian Scout and the Triumph Rocket III. http://www.indianmotorcycle.com/en-us/scout-silver-smoke http://www.triumphmotorcycles.com/bikes/rocket/2015/rocket-iii-roadster No doubt the giant 3 cylinder Rocket is the quicker bike, but I'm more drawn to the Scout. That's a whole lot of style for 11 G.

Ah, but did you put them in the corners of the storage space?

Well I am heavy, and what I've been most impressed with the memory foam beds I've had is that they stayed firm. Had the first one for about 5 years, and was as new then. I'll stay away from Serta.

That is just a great opportunity to go Galaxy S5.

Shelly, if you found a Tempurpedic that you liked initially, there is a 90 day trial offer. You would have to purchase the mattress online, but you know which one you liked, so... I've heard they are good about refunding the purchase price in those cases where people just weren't happy in the long run. IMO it will take you about 30 days to adjust and decide, but 90 days should be way more than adequate. http://www.tempurpedic.com/shopping-with-us/ninety-night-tryout.asp

I did not realize that Nora Jones' Dad performed at Woodstock.

My feelings exactly. And Al's dryer is quiet all the way through. If that guy didn't quote you $400.00 before hand, I'd make a big stink. That is complete bullshit, provided he didn't have to run a new gas line out to the street.
-
Damn! Not only does that sound like a great dryer, it also sounds like the perfect boyfriend!

I agree with Reks about support, but I'd call it medium firm. I like a firm mattress and I loved this one. I thought the cool gel technology actually helped some as well. I hate being hot when I sleep. All this said...It'll be about 30 days before your body fully adjusts to a MF mattress. Not that it'll suck before that, but after I had my first MF for about a month, I woke up one morning and realized I hadn't turned once all night (a minor miracle for me), and have absolutely loved them since.

Very true! My first MF matress was a NovaFoam. Loved it. My last MF purchase was this one... http://www.samsclub.com/sams/night-therapy-elite-13-mygel-prestige-memory-foam-mattress-king/prod6480113.ip?navAction=push Loved it even more!

I agree. Just remember how much she enriched your life, then factor that by about 10 to know how much you enriched hers.
