  1. Have a great day GRAWK !
  2. Hide the razors from Al tonight!
  3. I have to agree with Doug. I personally prefer separates, and if a unit malfunctions it can be replaced individually. That's not to say that all combo type units are necessarily a bad thing.
  4. Have a great day Al! Hope you have good riding weather soon.
  5. But it locks in the basses, and big knobs are always far superior.
  6. ^ This!
  7. Happy Birthday Colin! We expect a full review of the celebratory meal!
  8. Thanks guys! Dug out a yard today to celebrate. Stupid homeowner wants his deck at ground level. My brain says 30, but my back says 54. Going out to dinner with Mom and Step dad.
  9. Happy Birthday Ed!
  10. NICE!
  11. Happy Birthday!
  12. Have a great day Jeff!
  13. Now it's a Matchgame question. Looks great Mikey!
  14. Congrat Al! Welcome to El Dos Ruedas club!
  15. Fly indeed! As are those beams and that table!
  16. Hi Shelly! it doesn't really seem as though the "(single burger patty with bacon, cheddar, tipsy onions, chipotle aioli and a fried egg)" was settling. They both look fantastic!
  17. I was a weird teenager (not that that's any surprise).
  18. Fingers crossed for battery juices to flow.
  19. The record belonged to my best friend's Dad. I did record it onto cassette, but I usually borrowed the vinyl for rig wars. At 16 I heard a great system for the time...Phase Linear/Carver/Yamaha/Klipschorns. It was a revelation for me, and I spent nearly two years recreating it as best as my budget would allow.
  20. Just found... http://whiskeybacon.com/2013/06/11/jack-daniels-whiskey-baked-bacon-recipe/
  21. I've had bacon marinated in Grand Marnier, and that was pretty good. Just seemed whiskey marinated bacon would appeal to some here.
  22. Have any of you whiskey aficionados ever marinated bacon in whiskey before cooking?
  23. At 18 I had what I thought then was a decent system. Phase Linear amp, Carver pre-amp, Yamaha TT and ESS AMT 1D's with the big Heil air motion transformers. Any time one of my peers would suggest his crappy Cerwin Vega/Optimus rig (the favorite of teens of that time) would keep up, I'd crank that record up on their system. None of my friends knew what was coming, and many a woofer saw it's demise.
  24. I'd recommend just buying an old '80's linear tracking table off of ebay. Technics, Sony, JVC etc...For less that $100 you'll have a pretty decent sounding TT, and the P mount cartridges can be had very cheaply.
