Fixed a very expensive window that was installed slightly out of square. The sash would not close all the way at the bottom, letting water in when it rained. Put a shim under the middle of the bottom of the window, forcing the bottom of the window to narrow just enough to line up. Old school carpenter tricks FTW! Impressed a few. Sometimes just being around longer can make the difference, as I'm by far the oldest guy on the crew.

Suzy is doing much better this evening! She's up and around. She's eating and drinking and her tail is wagging! She spent a good part of the day with her Uncle Al. He's all a little terrier could want in an Uncle and more. He's so sweet to her and she absolutely adores him! Anyway, it's all good news. Thanks for all the well wishes, she's now set to live many more years pain-free. Just told my Mom about the surgery. I knew she'd worry if I told her before and she agreed.

Picked Suzy up from the Vet. She's not feeling too good but she's hangin' in there. Should feel a little better by tomorrow. Surgery went well, no complications and bloodwork shows no other issues.

Yeah, I like this Dr. and I'm sure she's going to be just fine. I'm just so happy that it's not something that can't be fixed! Thanks for all the well wishes guys! And Naaman, tell Jodi thanks, it makes me feel better hearing that from another Dr.!

I thought my dog Suzy was just a bit out of sorts since the move to California. She peed in Al's house not long after arriving, then again in Stretch's house, once in my house and last night again in Al's house. This is way out of character for her! I thought it might be her way of telling me that I'm away from home too long now, as the workday is longer. Or I thought she was just discombobulated from all the recent changes. I noticed that she's been taking longer to pee, and possibly straining at the last. So today I looked up UTI symptoms for dogs and it all looked as though that may be the issue. I was able to get a vet. appt. last minute and took her in. She definitely has a UTI, but the cause was a shock. It seems she has giant stones in her tiny bladder that are taking up about half of her bladder. Way too big to pass naturally, so she is scheduled for surgery Tuesday. ATM she's on antibiotics for the UTI and pain meds for discomfort. Now I'm really feeling lousy for not diagnosing this earlier. Fingers crossed for a great surgery outcome!

No, you actually first thought it was about your "lady" parts. It really is a great series.

This is a series I had not heard of at all. Ran across it on Netflix and it really spoke to me. While it's primarily about a man who did 19 years on death row and was then released due to DNA testing, it's also a family drama and much more. I can easily recommend this to anyone wanting to see some topnotch TV.
