Arm-R-Seal is a urethane modified Tung oil. You get the beauty of Tung oil and the durability of Varithane. Plus it's a wipe on finish, so easy as pie.

Milo and I got the speaker boxes mostly complete today. Made some round holes and some rectangular panels. Tweeter holes are in the Cherry baffles only, as they're not deep enough to need holes in the MDF panel too. Woofer holes and port tube holes in back. Cherry baffles got milled and drilled as well. And the first coat of Arm-R-Seal. The fluting is strictly aesthetics.

Speaker boxes now clad in Black laminate, because we had enough left over from the router table project... Making a solid Cherry 3/4" thick baffle to glue on top of MDF baffles...

Happy Birthday, Laura/Ryan! I know that you're not around much anymore, but here's hoping you check in. We miss your witty banter, and insight and we miss you!

Milo (Al's alter ego) and I did some work on our router table/mortising machine today. It's starting to come together... Milo did a huge chunk of the milling and drilling on this, and all the holes and pivot points lined up perfectly! Of course, he stacked the deck a little bit... So upright, it's a regular router table, albeit a large one. tipped down, it's a mortising machine, or horizontal router table, useful for things like raised panels and such. We're really having fun building this and setting up shop in general. Still left to do... cutting the hole in the table top for the router lift, and painting/sealing.

My Parents? Hell, I could absolutely astonish you with my own tech fails! -
What can you say about our Nate? He's been with us for quite some time now. But I still remember that young man starting out in life, optimistic about the future... Then a little time went by and young Nate became Papa Nate. And beautiful Lily was brought into the world. Proud Papa Nate... Then a little more time went by and Papa Nate bore a Son, oh so cute little Andrew... And the happy family was formed... There was the inevitable lack of sleep, and the aging process happened, as it does to all of us... But let's all wish Nate a very Happy Birthday, and just hope that he never goes through a drastic change, and starts hanging with a bad crowd... The Happiest of Birthdays to you, Papa Nate!!!

I forgot to tell you when I was there, but about two blocks from your house, I discovered this thing they call a store. It's magical (must be from the future), but you can walk inside and purchase thousands of different items.
