You must live in one of those cold places. I remember stocking up on models to build in winter.

My point is that generally, as the title of this thread alludes to, we have a favorite headphone that we use most of the time. For me it's the K1000, and I'll walk through the house to listen to them first.

It's gonna take a pretty big tortilla!

Nice choice!

Had to wait on some of the jungle gym stuff to arrive to be able to finish up. I got a big thumbs up from the most important of the clients.

So, in the same way that a ferret will not go into another room to use a litter box, you won't use a headphone that may be more than 10' away? Granted, the ferret backing into a corner to poop is a bit messier, but it still seems a bit lazy.

Or Borat, but that's too disturbing to contemplate.

However, calling it "sexytimes" might narrow your options to Mr. Rodgers, or Elmo.

That looks very British.

No nail, look up at the first post on this page.

I'm happy to see that I'm still a fast healer. I can count the number of times I've ever had a wound become infected on two fingers. Still slightly sore, but fully functioning. Really just tender when I press directly on the wound. My body makes up in healing what my brain lacks in intelligence.

When I build raised panel doors that are going to be painted (by the customer), I like to paint the edges of the panels before securing them in the frame. Otherwise when those panels shrink up a little bit in winter, you'll see some tiny edges of bare wood. This way the panels can expand and contract inside the frames without that happening. But it's all one solid oak panel.

It's OK though, Trumps going to bring us forest management.

I'm working on making some raised panel doors. My landlord has a rental house somewhere north of Sacramento, and I guess he had some tenants that managed to break 5 solid oak cabinet doors. He couldn't find anyone who could make replacements in any sort of timely manner, when he asked me if I could make cabinet doors? Silly man! Anyway, I was putting the last frame together with glue and pocket screws, when the bit jumped out of the screw and decided to go all the way through my hand. I was applying pressure because of the hard oak. Maybe just a little too much! Luckily Al's cleaning woman, Toni was there. She cleaned the entry and exit wounds and bandaged me up. I was able to get right back to it. Just goes to show you that any tool can be dangerous in the hands of an idiot. Luckily it was the fleshy part, under the thumb.

We had the same 8 track. As a kid, I thought 'Hard to be Humble' was hilarious.

Helen had given most of her money to charity years ago. She lived in Australia in a small apartment, on a fixed income. She said she was the happiest she'd ever been. Glad you had some good years, RIP. RIP Mac Davis.

Happy Birthday Steve and Wayne! "the birthday fairy" I really take offense to this moniker. The b in Birthday should always be capitalized. I'm the Birthday fairy, not the birthday fairy!

Ric, I had meant to mention that I think you should give 'Kris Kristofferson The Austin Sessions' a listen, if you haven't already done so. As for me now... Junior Brown 'Guit With It'. Kind of retro country. Think Red Foley or Earnest Tubb, but with the picking abilities of Chet Atkins and Jimmy Hendricks bastard love child.

Sorry to hear that Tyler. Nothing is more frustrating than a piece of gear that just doesn't function right, especially when customer service is non existent. Hope the new DAC serves you well.

There is no way to say that and have it sound right.

I missed you Fitz! This place is definitely better with you in it!
