Amazon never ceases to amaze me. I guess it was just a matter of time!

RIP someone or another
RIP K.T. Osline. She was a force in country music in the 80's, and the first woman to win song of the year with her hit '80's Ladies'. She was battling Parkinson's when she contracted Covid 19.

A lot can be done with a track saw, but there's really no replacing a table saw IMO.

Post what you're watching
I got the feeling that sex wasn't a part of it. Which I found even more strange.

^ You need a router table with fence, because there's nowhere for the bearing to ride if you're cutting a full miter. Unless you tack a strip on top for the bearing to ride against. Still, not the cleanest way to miter plywood.

Which Cooking Are You?
Sunday breakfast... Scrambled eggs, bacon, hashbrowns, grits, biscuits & Earl Gray. This should carry me through to dinner time!

The finer the sawdust, the better. Use one of your Festool sanders.

With the complex design you chose for your first big project, I'd say you did pretty well. I would cut the trim long, then put it against the actual box to mark the angles in place. But that's just experience. That comes naturally. What doesn't come natural is the eye for design and the ability to turn that design into an actual object. You seem to have that in spades. Most would have built an easy square box. Kudos! As for putty to match the Purple Heart, simply make some Purple Heart sawdust, mix with wood glue into a thick paste and putty all gaps before it dries. Over putty, then sand level after dry.

Thirded for Arm R Seal. That's what I used on the Colossus, as well as many other projects. I like to use foam brushes to apply. Put your brush inside a ziplock bag between coats.

What are you listening to Part the Third
If you want your ears to stop bleeding, here's a much better sung version...

Who is Shel? If you're referring to Shel Silverstein, I don't think he sings.

It's Dennis and Ray. They didn't give the whole group credit. That wasn't the greatest song choice, even though I love Elvis Costello.

It's Opera. Or Opry at any rate.

What are you listening to Part the Third
This is an album I had no knowledge of. It's George Jones duets. George Jones with Dr. Hook is uhm, interesting.
-
And now what did you do TODAY?
Yep. I have parts that have been just sitting in Tracy, CA for 3 days.

I can't wait to hear that sexy beast! But I have to admit that I'm having tonearm envy, because yours is so much longer than mine. I have concrete slab floors as well. That plus this beefy damn stand, and there's no movement whatsoever.

Get your game on!
I was only kidding, because of the bareass comment.

So, now with the new resistors installed and the Denon AU-300LC SUT in line, I'm getting my first real listen to the system as a whole. I can definitely hear the improvements that the Pearl brings right away, but I still sing praises to the Parasound Zphono USB. It's a really good phono stage for the money. The Pearl is just a bit better at everything though.
