Don't worry Brent, you'll always be my favorite stud bumper!

I remember seeing Krupa on Carson. Dude was incredible.

Marc designed these speakers and they are over achievers. But I'm dying to set my vinyl of the 1812 Overture on the turntable, and see how the system performs under load. Those are perfect. Thanks Doug!

I'm no longer below a house, and I'm looking forward to seeing what this system is actually capable of. No other units connected to mine.

During the course of this move 6 of the 8 feet on my Gallo subs. Just desentagrated. The rubber has dried solid and they've just crumbled. They do sell replacements but they're proud of them, and I'm sure those will eventually crumble too. So I bought some 6mm Allen head bolts and some rubber tabs... They sit a bit lower but that's fine. These power conditioners make a pretty good foundation. And you can tell by the name that they're quality units. The 8 sockets per unit is just perfect for the amount of gear I have plugged into them. The old feet...

That's an iPod that Fitz modded for me. It has a 1tb. solid state drive and an extended, upgraded battery. It'll run continuous for over 4 days. Although the Wadia charges it as well.

All the more reason! Thanks Dusty! My boots are made for walkin' too!

Indeed! Wadia talkin' 'bout?

I'm going to get this haircut as soon as my hair grows out (and grows in).

Believe it or not, this is my favorite source for digital. It's just easy for me. And the Wadia sounds fantastic. And headphone central is ready for action.

I wanted to take a minute to reflect on my previous post. 😝 🍆

The audio system is close, but as you can see I need to buy a pair of Monoprice speaker stands. Probably won't hook it up until I've done that. I'm almost unpacked. Got some kitchen stuff still to do, and a few doggy things, but that's about it. Calling it quits for tonight though.

Now that makes more sense. Good thing I have no shame. Fixed, even though now crowded with empty boxes. 🤣

No Noel Lee products were used in the making of these photos! I've built my own speaker cables, with a bit of advice from a New Hampshire circle hole cutter.

The landlord seemed baffled at the size of "the stereo" for a 400 s.f. apartment. "Stereo? Oh no, that's just the video system. The stereo is still packed in boxes." These non audiophiles. They're so odd. Yes, that's a woodburning stove behind. Something I'll never use. Still have my Alaskan blood. Never used the heat in my last place in 7 years. I do have a few electric heaters if needed, but pretty sure they'll gather dust too.

Enjoying the views outside my new apartment this morning. Pretty epic. Maki seems to be adjusting pretty well. Instead of christening the new yard with champagne, she used some other fluids. The first thing Al and I did was to make the new deck safe for Maki by applying chicken wire to all the railings. Wire provided by Uncle Al. Maki loves her Uncle! I'm certainly no photographer, but the dappled light coming through the trees in the morning is incredible.

I've been packing to move to my new apartment. I bought a Chromebook maybe 4 years back when my desktop crapped out. However, I don't remember this 13" Lenovo laptop that I came across a few days ago. Fast forward to just 30 minutes ago, when pulling out boxes from under my bed, I find a nice laptop tote. Upon discovering this I immediately flashed back to buying a 19' HP laptop at Best Buy, back when I moved to Sacramento in 2013. Opening the tote, there lays the 19' HP. OK, now I have two laptops and a Chromebook. Next I open up the storage closet that leads under the house. There I find just a few things. I'm happy there's not more stuff that I might have forgotten. Just 4 empty plastic storage totes that I take advantage of. And I see a big suitcase that matches my small suitcase. Wait a minute, this doesn't feel quite empty. Zip, zip... WTF! And here layes a really nice 20" HP laptop. It does seem somewhat familiar, but I can't tell you when or where I bought it. So, 3 laptops and 1 Chromebook later, I think I'm squared away for computers. Especially since I have barely used a computer in about 6 years. This on top of 3 different tablets that I'd forgotten all about.
