Well yes, I'm assuming the typical build of 8x gain. The noise floor was obvious with IEMs out of the Beta22. I still saying the Beta22 won't be a bad preamp (even better with the lower gain) even though there was definitely a noticeable noise floor with the Beta22 I tried. No?

Oh, so I wasn't crazy when I noticed that the SRM-T1 sounds quite after a few days of being on (versus on the first day after the supposed initial warm-up period).

Foobar2K can do it. You'll need to find a plugin for encoding WMAs. WMA is closed, so it might be difficult to find it. I know there was one for Foobar 0.8.
