Hi everyone, I just thought of this poll that might be somewhat interesting. But then, probably not. I'm not sure how many Audio-Technica woodie fans are around here, but I sure am one. So basically what the poll above says. Do you think there will be a 45t anniversary A-T Woodie? If so, what would be your guess for the model number? Or rather, what would be the best in your opinion? - Nanoha List of A-T woodies in the past: 1996 - ATH-W10VTG 1997 - ATH-W10LTD (35th Anniversary) 1998 - ATH-W11JPN 1999 - ATH-W100 2000 - ATH-W11R 2001 - ATH-W2002 (40th Anniversary) 2002 - ATH-W1000 2003 - ATH-L3000 2004 - No woodie released. Continues to sell L3000. 2005 - ATH-W5000 Numbering scheme according to series (somewhat chronologically & according to quality): Closed Oldies: 1995 - ATH-A3 1995 - ATH-A4 1994 - ATH-A5 1997 - ATH-A5x 1994 - ATH-A7 1997 - ATH-A7x 1994 - ATH-A9 1997 - ATH-A9x Closed Modern: 2001 - ATH-A55 2001 - ATH-A100Ti 2001 - ATH-A500 2001 - ATH-A700 2002 - ATH-A900 2002 - ATH-A1000 2005 - ATH-A900LTD Open Oldies: 2000 - ATH-AD5 2000 - ATH-AD7 1999 - ATH-AD9 1999 - ATH-AD10 Open Modern: 2003 - ATH-AD300 2003 - ATH-AD400 2003 - ATH-AD500 2003 - ATH-AD700 2004 - ATH-AD900 2004 - ATH-AD1000 2004 - ATH-AD2000

I knew it! I can't believe you wasted your stuff on such low quality entertainment. B&W webcams. *sigh* -

What?! Does that mean what I think it means? -
What do you mean? Don't confuse me! Anyways, Larry, welcome to Head-Case. Don't take what we say too seriously.
-
OMG. So are there no rules yet?! That means I can do whatever I want to do?! Please let me know when the rules will be received from the future so I know when to stop my craziness!
-
Lol seriously. I think my fear of the fudge rounds and oatmeal creme pies began a few years back when all I had for lunch for a whole month were the cake-like sweet snacks. (Those were what my mom put in my lunch box each day. Two or three per lunch. Nothing else other than a drink.) Argh.

Larry of LaRoccoAudio! Feel free to say anything. Free speech for all! Although there might be the problem of ticking off other manufacturers if you go too far. Ah.... the self-restraint that people in the business world are inherently required to exercise.
-
Oh my goodness. I can't eat more than two of the fudge rounds or oatmeal creme pies in one sitting. I'll vomit if I do. It's one of those sick gut feelings you get after eating a ton of cake. lol

Time to bump darkless's thread to the top since I have a few questions regarding the SB3 as well. 1. So should I use the coax output as well? (I'm thinking of connecting this to a DA10.) 2. Does USB cable quality matter? 3. For those who own the SB3, how good or bad is the SB3's headphone out. (This will determine whether I get my Lavry first or my headphones first. If the headphone out is tolerable, I will upgrade my headphones first. I'm in desperate need of upgrading since I've been having serious comfort issues with my SA5K and HD650.) 4. The SB3 wireless version can connect to a wireless network. Assume I'm connecting my laptop to an university wireless network via WiFi. Can I use my SB3? Or does this depend on the settings of the school network itself? Haha, thanks.

http://www.macatwork.net/luxurymac/prodotti.html These must be better than Bose. How ironic. Last night I was talking on IRC about how cables were like jewelry. Hehe, diamond iPod earbuds. "My iPod earbuds are more expensive than your IEMs!"
-
Wow, the new speakers look pretty sweet. Good speakers are more enjoyable than headphones in my opinion (comfort, feeling, and sound). But setting up the right rig takes so much money. And there are room limitations too.
-
Holy shit. Is that through the co-op program?
-
Hmmm, actually.... after further thought, they aren't so bad. At least they're better than Butterfingers. Ugh.
-
I love HoHos as well. I might even like Twinkies better.

Lavry Headphone-Out... How about with Audio-Technicas (L3k/W5k)?
Nanoha replied to Nanoha's topic in Headphone Amplification
Ah, so loopout. And sweet, I like my stuff transparent and clean. Awesome. Thanks Tib! -
Haha it looks awesome. So I guess this batch will finally start shipping soon. I think akwok showed the photos to everyone yesterday on IRC. hehe.

Cheap bars! So much cheaper than stupid school / work vending machines. They're as overpriced as the Hornet is. Even more! Sorry, I had to make the Hornet comaprison.

I like Debbie's brownies and Zebra Cakes. I don't quite like the PB Crunch bars.

Lavry Headphone-Out... How about with Audio-Technicas (L3k/W5k)?
Nanoha replied to Nanoha's topic in Headphone Amplification
Just one more question. What would be a comparable amplifier? (As in, similar in quality or perhaps signature to the Lavry's headphone out or XLR out.) Haha sorry, the forum wouldn't let me edit. -
Is that so. Maybe I should try this rig tweak sometime in the future?

Ah, thanks for the reply IronDreamer. I just have a few general questions about the Lavry that doesn't pertain to specific headphones per se. - Will connecting the XLR analog out directly to balanced headphones damage the headphones (both high and low imped) in any way? (Tiberian already answered this for me I think. It shouldn't. ) - Can you use the headphone out and the analog outs (RCA or XLR) at the same time sort of like a loopout? (I'm assuming no.) - Does the Lavry have a built-in peak limiter? Actually I don't know the proper terminology, but basically some sort of feature that protects your equipment from sudden spikes in volume (signal?). For example, signal spikes often occur when you're using your computer as source and you're fastforwarding a video file or when you want to go to a specific time in the video and you drag your progress bar to that second. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Actually, this may turn out to be a totally separate question. - What settings do you guys use? - What is the general quality or sound signature of the headphone out and the analog outs? -
I would be quite interested in a July meet. It would be great to be able to meet the people who I really respect. As I mentioned on IRC, when I first joined Head-Fi two years ago, there were a few people that immediately jumped out as being the nicest people around. And after the past two years and getting to know a lot more folks on Head-Fi, I've realized that I've come back to the same people who I initially looked up to. And guess what. All of them are here.

If I'm understanding it correctly, you're saying that recabling headphones does not void the warranty on the headphones themselves. Hmm, that is true, awesome. I'm holding you accountable if it turns out to be incorrect. Just kidding.

So GE, how much would you do them for?
