  1. Thanks for passing along the update again Justin.
  2. Hmm, I've always wondered how much each of those costs for HeadRoom.
  3. Sorry.

    Preamps!

Decent prices. I might have some use for those sometime.
  5. Hehe. That looks beautiful indeed. Worth it, aye? Nice. You got one in your amp?
  6. *quickly
  7. So this is an amp with DHT SET input and push-pull output? (And then the caps and resistors attach to the push-pull output?)
  8. That sucks Posty. Hope you get it quick. But what did you buy?
  9. Anyone know what the SE case is going to look like?
  10. Hmm, let's see if I can get this straight. How is it going to be both push-pull and single ended? \
  11. Oooh nice. Very nice. That silver looks surprisingly great.
  12. Anyone got photos of the BH? And spritzer, what does your BH look like?

Looks great tom! Special treatment from Mikhail is also very sweet. Do you have any ideas as to how much the production preamp would cost?
  14. I personally do not enjoy the Cary's 300B mush. It feels like I'm being drowned in sap. Of course, it might be a decent match with the K1000 for some people since the K1000 is quite neutral. For me, I think a sweet yet clean sounding tube amp would be perfect for the K1000.
  15. Now that I think about it, Elephas is indeed the king of headphones now. No, the Raptor does indeed sound "a bit weird". Wait, are you saying slwiser has RSA amps?
  16. Cool, thanks. Is this potentially a higher quality solution than using transformers (building your own) with a SET amp? I'm guessing it'll basically be a capacitor quality vs. transformer quality fight? Any thoughts?
  17. Their externals don't have the 5 years the last time I checked. They could have changed it. I usually buy internals (Seagate; 5 year) and stick them in enclosures. It probably won't look as nice as something external you could buy off the shelf though.
  18. Haha, perhaps. But only after rebuilding.
  19. I will try. I've only worked up to ~700 V though. How much is this going to be? 1.2k V?
  20. Oh lol, yeah that would be cheap.
  21. Wonderful!
  22. Say I get a low power push pull tube amp. Is it possible to tap the push pull for use with 'stats? Are there special factors that I need to take into consideration?
  23. What is your pre going to be? Going integrated? Using your b22 as a pre?
