I personally do not enjoy the Cary's 300B mush. It feels like I'm being drowned in sap. Of course, it might be a decent match with the K1000 for some people since the K1000 is quite neutral. For me, I think a sweet yet clean sounding tube amp would be perfect for the K1000.

Their externals don't have the 5 years the last time I checked. They could have changed it. I usually buy internals (Seagate; 5 year) and stick them in enclosures. It probably won't look as nice as something external you could buy off the shelf though.
Say I get a low power push pull tube amp. Is it possible to tap the push pull for use with 'stats? Are there special factors that I need to take into consideration?
