  1. I can neither confirm nor deny the validity of these observations. **BRENT**
  2. Hey, remember last week when I posted a picture of me sitting on a stage with a bunch of other people with instruments and stuff? Well, someone recorded some of it and put it on YouTube. I'm still the pixels 2nd row, just left of center, but I'm not the one playing the bad notes (in this video). Enjoy/cringe/ignore the Mid-South Concert Band along with the Scenic City Chorale playing "A Christmas Festival", with out of tune accompanying vocals by the audience. **BRENT**
  3. I was supposed to spend the day alone (after the kids were picked up at 9am). I wound up spending time with the ex's family (father's side), who didn't even know she was back in town for 2.5 months, after I told them when they called about Christmas plans. These guys have been good to me, and they wanted to see the kids, so I promised them a week or two ago I'd have them there. When other parties backed out, I'm like "see you at noon." Wound up hanging out over there for a few hours (my family's stuff was yesterday), and we had a pretty good time. The kids' mom came over after a few hours and the kids are staying with that side of the fam for a couple days while I work. I wound up going to a dive bar where a friend was hosting a Karaoke Kristmas, made the rounds, and finally got home to bed, only 14 hours after I originally planned to. All-in-all, not a horrible day for me, and the kids had a great time. And Shelly... what Carl said. **BRENT**
  4. I don't have to go, and certainly don't want to hold you back.... it's just not TOO terribly far away, and it'd be nice to see people, but I doubt I'll be in riding shape by then. **BRENT**
  5. ^ This is just a 3.5-4 hour trip for me. Couldn't do more than a couple days, and Hunaphu's day is around that time... I'm be super out of shape and stuff, but "maybe?" **BRENT** Edit: I sold/traded the mtn bike... so I'd just have the road bike. Fitz is on the way, if I went interstate... could always try to kidnap him
  6. So only 500$ overpriced? **BRENT**
  7. I can't afford it, buy I have been thinking about a 50" ST60 (street around 999 on sale), because I've wanted a Panasonic Plasma for years and years, but haven't bought a TV since my 32" 4:3 non-flat CRT. I don't even have anything with HDMI... and now worried I wouldn't be able to have what I wanted. Stupid consumers. **BRENT**
  8. Thanks guys. I'm the blob of pixels 2nd row, just left of center, over the conductor's left shoulder. This stage is bloody amazing! I had some friends come out, and my mom brought the kids, and they came backstage and had a good time. It's been a long day, and a few bobbles in the performance, but man, it was a good day. I went out afterwards and got some dinner with a friend and others on his birthday on a rare night sans-kids. The band is the Mid-South Concert Band, with the Scenic City Chorale in the back. This is our second annual Christmas concert at the Tivoli Theatre. I am still blown away at how good this stage sounds. I can't wait to play here again. I think we had a real photographer up there at one point... this guy's camera phone is "meh" but it's the best I've got so far. I hope some other pics surface soon. **BRENT**
  9. Warm up for my concert at the Tivoli Theater in Chattanooga. **BRENT**
  10. Hey SO... thought you may want to upgrade your wardrobe. http://gradolabs.spreadshirt.com/ **BRENT**
  11. I was busy at work, then had the last band rehearsal before our big concert next week. I had my app up to set my lineups, but didn't finish it. I didn't know Welker was hurt. I played him, in all 3 leagues I'm in. I was up 21 in league 1. **BRENT**
  12. Bushmills is having a giveaway contest on FB. FWIW, one of the early Alicia Keys songs had her walking through NYC wearing a sub-325i set of Grados. I couldn't tell which back in the day. **BRENT**
  13. Dusty, he was a better driver in real life than the one in the movies. He was a rather good racer, and was a passenger in someone else's Porsche Carrera GT. The driver of the car was as accomplished of a driver as PW. The charity is Reach Out World Wide, and they were raising money to help the victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Phillipines. This is a bummer for the car guy community. I loved the F&F franchise (setting aside how good or not good they were), and it did a lot for car enthusiasm. The driver of the Porsche was Roger Rodas, CEO of Always Evolving, the shop that built Paul Walker's race cars, and who used to race himself in the Pirelli World Challenge series. It looks like they were taking the rare car from a car show at the shop to the charity event. I obviously know more about PW than RR, but definitely a tragic loss in my eyes. **BRENT**
  14. JH Audio Surprise! Our Black Friday Sale starts early! Use the code "GIFTS" at check out to receive 20% off your order! **BRENT**
  15. The video from the link Santa posted. I almost posted this a couple days ago... This place is about a mile and a half from my apartment. "My people" are rather Slow Forum worthy this week, it seems. **BRENT**
  16. Have you tried cayenne pepper? **BRENT**
  17. 3 months, 5 days, and 6 hours from the time you posted... but who's counting. **BRENT**
