  1. I've been using wifi calling for years. It's fantastic when you need it. **BRENT**
  2. Are these for OTA updates or tethered updates?
  3. I figure your hands and pockets, and Colin's pockets, are the main exceptions around here. **BRENT**
  4. I have used a Note 2. Jersey is easy. I would put it in a zippered bag some socks came in. I could also fit it in my medium Bontrager seatbag with tube, tool, lever, patch kit, keys, ID, debit card. It felt large when I first got it, but quickly adapted. I came from a 4" phone, but now the 5.5 feels normal. Think of it like headphones... Your headphones don't break in. Your head does. **BRENT**
  5. Word. Perhaps an Amazon Drone? **BRENT**
  6. I'm working and wasn't thinking. 1) they may have nano Sims for sale 2, you may be able to trim them to fit. I'd have to look into it. But someone will chime in before I do. **BRENT**
  7. Adapters to use are cheap (5$ at T-Mobile stores), so it doesn't really matter that much. **BRENT**
  8. ^ I saw that yesterday. I love the announcers when they see the splits. That was a fantastic run. **BRENT**
  9. I, too, want a sub. Not going to happen any time soon, but I see ads for SVS and it makes me want one... though perhaps I could pick up Jack's old one when he upgrades? **BRENT**
  10. FWIW, I went from 4" phone and iPad to a 5.5" phone two years ago. I almost completely quit using my iPad after that because the phone did so much of what I used my tablet for. **BRENT**
  11. I use my Note 2 almost exclusively one handed. **BRENT**
  12. So they finally came out with a phone worth considering, eh? I hate that it still starts out with 16GB, but at least they removed the 200$ step between 16 and 64. Sorry they didn't put out a faster 3GS, Dan **BRENT**
  13. /me is not amused. I'll get you next time, Gadget! **BRENT**
  14. What is this Wimp nonsense? **BRENT**
  15. It's not MOG, but I didn't know where to put this. 16/44 streaming/offline-capable music and music video streaming service that uses lossless (FLAC and/or ALAC... not sure, but both are mentioned). It's called Tidal Hifi. Here's the link to sign up for early access. http://www.tidalhifi.com/?lrRef=nXurAq I'm pretty happy with Spotify, but I wouldn't mind some higher quality options. Also, it seems they say that Spotify uses Ogg Vorbis 320k as their streaming method of choice. I'd not heard that it was Vorbis, but instead figured MP3. Interesting. **BRENT**
  16. Crap. I had a big post typed up then lost it. My little boy got a Rebel XT (used) when he was 5 for his b-day, with an 18-55. This was rather light and was easy to handle by Xavier. Currently, the SL1 is very small, smaller than the XT (the newer model would probably be the T3i), and with the 40mm F/2.8 STM, it's stupidly light. Put it on Auto and let them go. (The 40 STM lens can be had rather inexpensively refurbished, if not on a good sale.) The 40mm Pancake lens barely sticks out beyond the front of the built-in flash, is small enough for 5 year olds to handle in both size and weight (it's 19% lighter than the D3200, but you'd probably be more comfortable with that). Not sure of the current pricing, but as of a month ago, should be easily within budget if you shop well enough. **BRENT**
  17. Fitz is going to be a sad panda. **BRENT**
  18. I think you can post them to FB... hmmmm... off to try something. **BRENT**
  19. I've been playing with a Lytro I picked up on indefinite loan from a buddy. I still can't figure out how to embed these things, so for now, a link to my Lytro page for some yoyo pix. I need to mess around with this a good bit more, but could be interesting. https://pictures.lytro.com/MexicanDragon **BRENT**
  20. Pedometer, odometer (GPS), HR monitor, BP monitor... Seems like for fitness tracking it could be great, a way to leave the phone for a run or bike. Also, what Nate said. Also, Dick Tracy. **BRENT**
  21. When did you leave the Nikon camp? **BRENT**
  22. I expect nothing less. So are we wagering bikes? **BRENT**
  23. My draft strategy was to realize that I had a draft at 830, at 1130. I wound up with 6 RBs. I had gone ahead and set my lineup, and I was trading two people off my bench for two people off someone else's bench. One of my guys wouldn't have been benched every week, but he wasn't a starter out of the gate. Cutler is a sentimental pick, and I wanted to shore up my TE space. I'm OK with new guys and old guys. I could have done a WR instead of TE, probably, but I was fine with the trade I accepted. Doesn't matter now. **BRENT**
