  1. Or, we could show Colin how to properly drive a car. **BRENT**
  2. That sucks, Jeff. Fly to TX to pick up your car and drive the rest of the way? **BRENT**
  3. http://www.southernliving.com/food/kitchen-assistant/hush-puppies-recipe http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/paula-deen/hushpuppies-recipe.html http://www.food.com/recipe/hush-puppies-justin-wilson-style-87421 http://www.saveur.com/article/Recipes/Classic-Hush-Puppies http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/side/vegetable/copycat-long-john-silvers-hushpuppies.html http://www.justapinch.com/recipes/snack/other-snack/red-lobster-hush-puppies.html Quick sampling (including "Justin Wilson Style", though I'm sure ours has better taste). All include onions, including the Red Lobster hush puppy recipe. Dan is right, though. Onions belong in many places; the garbage, landfills, etc. They do not, however, belong in hush puppies. Unfortunately, most places ruin a perfectly good side by putting onions in them. **BRENT**
  4. Obviously your taste buds took a wrong turn in Albuquerque. **BRENT**
  5. I get stuff I order Friday night on Sunday morning. It's brilliant. **BRENT**
  6. Most hushpuppies have onions in them, making them a worthless food. The last time I went to Red Lobster was probably 5 years ago when my now late grandmother gave me a gift card to there; it was her favorite restaurant. I'm sure I'll go again the next time my mom gets to pick. I'm still pretty full from eating 5 hours ago. Such a bad idea. **BRENT**
  7. Mother's day dinner after my symphonic band concert. I told her I'd take her anywhere she wanted, and she chose Red Lobster. I think I had Cajun chicken linguini alfredo, fried shrimp, and some other chicken thing. Also, had a Bacardi Citron Strawberry Lemonade. Mom loved it, and that's what matters. **BRENT**
  8. Empire Records for life! Damn the man! **BRENT**
  9. Elusivedisc has 12% and free ship over 99$ with THANKS12 **BRENT**
  10. It was... a nice way to end my short weekend (have worked 12 of previous 13 days... which is a LOT for me.) It felt good to get out and run around. I should have charged up the new Fitbit, though; Jeff won't believe I did anything but take a nap without documentation. **BRENT**
  11. High 60s with a slight breeze, so a perfect day to get out. Took the kids and met up with roomie, her daughter, and my buddy and his daughter and went to the big park near us. Threw a Frisbee, hung out, got some pizza, and threw some more Frisbee. I'm ready for a nap, but had a great time. **BRENT**
  12. So I get to work this morning, open up Tidal, and see Jack White's pre-hiatus Fargo concert as an exclusive. I enjoyed it. If on the app at least, click the gear for resolution options... I'm sure SQ goes up with the higher red options. **BRENT**
  13. It takes a little time, but you get back in the swing of things. Playing in a group a day a week has been a lot of fun for me (usually.) **BRENT**
  14. Well, while I was at band tonight I realized that someone should push you to buy a clarinet or two, which you don't have, instead of 30 new watches to add to your other 30 watches, but guess I was a few minutes late. **BRENT**
  15. So Apple charges an extra 30% for subscriptions to Tidal through the app... http://consequenceofsound.net/2015/04/tidal-has-already-raised-its-monthly-subscription-prices/ **BRENT**
  16. My head barely fits through doorways when you factor in ego. I think I'm good here. I also have nachos for lunch today.... I should get a watch to go with them. **BRENT**
  17. Nate is a handsome, well spoken, classy gentleman. I, for one, applaud his taste. **BRENT**
  18. I wouldn't let someone else having something keep me from having it for that reason alone. You already have a solidly respectable collection... I'm sure you'd be fine even skipping the Pelagos and setting aside the money for nachos. **BRENT**
  19. Maybe Tudor reps in town? **BRENT**
  20. Hahahahaha. Win. I talked to Zoë about Justin Guitar and told her she can use the 710 just to be careful not to bump or bang it on things (sometimes a little clumsy, she.) I went to band tonight but forgot something and ran back in the house. She had the guitar in her room with some chord website up already. <3 **BRENT**
  21. Hmmm... I need a novelty oversized sombrero to fit my head. Keep an eye out. **BRENT**
  22. So my son comes home one day from school and says he played guitar and everyone thought he sounded good and he really liked playing. Seeing as this is the first time he has shown serious interest in playing music I started looking around at trying to find him a cheap starter guitar. Step one was Guitar Center to see if he needed a 3/4, 7/8, or full size guitar, and there was a Yamaha F335 he liked. He then saw it in black and got that down and we knew that was the one for him, but we were just looking that day. While we were there, Zoë was helping us hold guitars while he handled them and others helped us out by playing so we could hear the tone potential. Well, turns out that she is interested in guitar now as well. Fast forward a few weeks and after checking CL and the internet, the right deal was found, but it was sold before it could be picked up (the next day.) Saturday, a friend who plays and knows some shops around town picked me up and we went on a search. A couple individuals and a couple shops later, we wind up back at Guitar Center, where I had been emailing someone the night before about some clearance inventory I found online. Turns out the guy who came up to help us was the guy behind the emails, so he already knew what we were looking at. Turns out there were two black F335s in inventory, and we handpicked one of those. Then, knowing Zoë was interested and I was interested as well, we looked at the deal we talked about over email. There was one on the wall that I didn't love compared to a step-below-but-more-expensive model. The guy checked the back and found one in the box. Tuned that up and started playing and the difference was noticeable. It easily eclipsed the more expensive model and the other example... So for Zoë and me, a Yamaha FG710S. The pix don't do the wood justice, as it looks pretty nice for an entry level guitar. Going to look at Justin Guitar mostly, but an old friend gives lessons as well, so going to get with him soon too. Excited to get them playing something they picked. **BRENT**
  23. As someone who uses 20-30GB, and a OnePlus One, I signed up anyways... Just in case. I know plenty of people this would be great for. **BRENT**
