  1. Just get the RS. Just tell the wife that the Mexican will buy an RS and live in it, just to have something you can't. **BRENT**
  2. Looks like Hodinkee opened up a shop, or at least revamped it. I've seen a bit about this on my feed, so thought I'd share. http://shop.hodinkee.com/ **BRENT**
  3. Sweeeeet. Just gonna get your own track tires? Not a bad move. **BRENT**
  4. It's worth it. **BRENT**
  5. It's ridiculous how often I have to say this around here: Quit being poor. **BRENT**
  6. Get a WRX and an ST, that way you can have one for Rallycross and one for Autocross. **BRENT**
  7. G'luck! **BRENT**
  8. Get an STI and an RS. Pretty simple, really. **BRENT**
  9. Me too, Chris. Nate, thanks for that. I have it set on my Edge 200, but i didn't know/hadn't looked at his yet. We've ridden daily since Friday, but were on the mountain bikes yesterday and in a rush today, so i didn't check to look for it. I used my Vivoactive to capture my numbers, but it froze up while saving (I thought we were going to bail after the crash, so I stopped it.) We have about an hour window to ride tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get it taken care of at that point. **BRENT**
  10. Thanks, Nate. On cycling related news, Xavier and I went out for a ride with his new-to-him Garmin Edge 305. (Thanks, Juan! He's really digging it.) We went out to a park that has a 2 mile paved loop, with another path you can go off on as well. We did a couple laps then went over the bridge and did about a mile on a gravel levee. Memo to self: buy larger-than-23mm tires at some point. We wound up back on the loop and some kids were riding the opposite direction. The older one had the younger one get over to his side, but then the younger kid (on a scooter) jumped out in front of Xavier's path. He swerved to miss him but couldn't. A hurt big toe and some scrapes (on him and on the bike both,) but after some time wrenching (it was a hard hit, and both the stem and the seatpost were 30 degrees out of alignment) we did another 4 miles to get 10 total. It shows 8.3mph and 73 minutes riding, but that was only because we didn't stop it when he crashed. The first half we were doing about 10.6mph on average, which isn't bad for a bike path where there was a lot of foot traffic we had to be mindful of. He's still having trouble getting into the big ring from the small, which is frustrating for us both, but he was able to turn on some speed from time to time. Now to get a K-Edge so I can get my Garmin back on the road bike (using the stock mount on the mtn bike now) and I can kinda see how fast I'm going without looking at my watch. I was so proud of Xavier for pushing through another 4 miles after a crash. Oh, and if you were wondering, the other kid was fine; didn't get hurt at all. His parents stopped and offered their help and to make sure he was OK for a good 5+ minutes. I'm SO glad Xavier is into road riding now; it's a blast. **BRENT**
  11. Nothing, at the time. The site kept showing error every time I tried to post. When it eventually did go through, it seems like it took all of them. Killed deal on some power meter pedals from a great shop, though. **BRENT**
  12. http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest-news/garmin-vivoactive-hr-212727 OK, I'm not sure I'm sold on the looks of it, relative to the Vivoactive that I have, but all it's missing is a HR monitor to be a fantastic tracker for me. I'll have to remember to win one of these later this year so I can test it, but seeing as how my Vivoactive is on my arm, and my Charge HR is on the Charger, I'd be happy to have this as an only device, I do believe. **BRENT**
  13. OK, the above is a cluster fuck from me. Can someone please edit it to show possibly a pic and one bit about the pedals for sale? **BRENT**
  14. An LBS here has some Garmin Vector 2 pedals, lightly used demos, for 450$, if anyone is interested. **BRENT**
  15. Dammit! I've been riding on my trainer wrong this entire time! Grrrr... **BRENT**
  16. I hear you can do a bit with a Forester XT if you lower it, get wheels, exhaust, replace the steering rack with the WRX or STI one, etc. I saw some pictures of a white one once that was pretty sweet, but I think the owner forgot he had it and it's just sitting in a garage somewhere. **BRENT**
  17. Re: Europe, the RS is just very recently available in the stares, so it's not too big of an issue to think of it like that. Zach, your wife is a solid foot shorter than Chris, so... http://m.ebay.com/itm/131732598924?_mwBanner=1 **BRENT**
  18. Same. I usually like Kendrick more as a feature on someone else's stuff, where he kills it, but never loved his entire bodies of work. Giving this a chance off your other post. **BRENT**
  19. Come to Chatt. Xavier will pull us up the rolling hills. **BRENT**
  20. Welcome back, V! Now tell Colin to get off his lazy @$$ and buy that Lynskey so you'll have a riding buddy (who is just a 6 hour flight away.) **BRENT**

They have been around 292$ in the past 6 months
  22. Mmmmmm... Lynskey headquarters. Heh, just realized that I DO ride titanium. **BRENT**
  23. Delete. **BRENT**
  24. I've seen the original 500s go for a little over 100, which is similar to the basic Garmin 20. Just wishing I could have a black one to match the color scheme like the 200 does now. **BRENT**
  25. Hey Guys, Xavier is wanting a bike computer. He has a mountain bike and a road bike now. I have a Garmin 200, and he loves the GPS and he has no idea what we used to deal with with cables and magnets and the like. I'm thinking of giving him my 200 and picking up something else. Do any of you have something like a Garmin 500/510/800 around that they may be interested in offloading? I may can get away with something else for him, but thought I'd check first. Thx. **BRENT**
