Went to work early so I can leave early and take Zoe and her friend to see Panic! At The Disco and Weezer. Should be fun, except for the 4-5 hours on the road. **BRENT**

Too bad you weren't the first one here to experience it... **BRENT**

I was expecting to have a name tag there, but alas, I did not. Next time, perhaps. **BRENT**

Hearing Protection Recommendations needed
MexicanDragon replied to MexicanDragon's topic in Off Topic
Wound up with a standard/large combo for about the price of a single ER20 XS. I'll have foam ones for the friend. Thanks for the input. Dusty, JH13s would be fantastic, just not going to happen. Well played. **BRENT** -
Knucks, I'm so sorry to hear. Al, I didn't even hear about the Indiana fucktard. Fuck that guy. Aside, Zoe is going to a candlelight vigil for Orlando with her mom tonight. She just went through all her clothes and found her Apple Pride shirt I was able to get her at the SF Pride Parade last year; it made me think of our crew last year. Have you talked to your friends that we hung out with then, Steve? **BRENT**

Hearing Protection Recommendations needed

ER-20s are very possible. Supposedly this amphitheatre isn't horribly loud, but I'm getting something anyway. I've considered custom musician earplugs, since I'm in rehearsals and whatnot weekly. Could be covered with HSA, but no time for that now. What about these Earasers? **BRENT** -
I'm taking Zoe and her friend to the Panic! At The Disco/Weezer concert (while I am attending the Weezer/PATD concert). I want to get some earplugs for everyone. I can handle the Ety ones, but not sure if they could. Are there any good "musician" or "concert" ear plugs you guys recommend? Are the ER-20s still worth getting, or would I want something better? (Zoe and her friend won't use them much, but I could use them at band rehearsal/other concerts, so I could go with something a little more long term.) Oh, and referably something I can get locally or through Amazon, so I can have them here before Thursday's show. Thanks. **BRENT**

I don't enjoy T$ agreeing with me, because it's more amusing when he's wrong, but the seated experience of the Rift has been great. I gave it back to my buddy today and going back to racing without it is going to suck. Chris, just get both. **BRENT**

Didn't get a chance to post pix from last night, but the rift worked perfectly (after about 20 minutes of frustration and driver updates) with Project Cars. That was the most fun I've had playing a video game in ages. The sense of speed was tame relative to real life, but it was definitely immersive and Laguna Seca and Bathurst were incredible going through the tight, twisty drops. My stomach fell out on them. It was a lot of fun with a GTX 970. With a 980ti or 1080, the realism would come back and it would be stupidly good. For racing games, I'd want one. Oh, spent two hours wearing it with no discomfort. Thanks for the game, Chris, Gram, T$, and Stupid Colin. Pix later if someone reminds me. **BRENT**

Chris, I'd probably get the Vive in your case. It works so much better out of the box. I still prefer the headset of the Rift, though. T$, I'd personally wait a generation or two, but that's b/c of financial constraints. If I wanted something cool, and the games I wanted to play were VR capable, I'd definitely be tempted. Try it out locally, though. Oh, the Vive is more hardware adjustable. It feels "Apple vs HTC" right now. The hardware is great for both, but the design is better with the Rift. The Rift has fewer options to deal with, and it uses a simpler means of adjustment, but it feels more polished to me. If you stay in its ecosystem, it's great, but doesn't play well with others. The Vive is nerdier, but you're going to need some room to maneuver with it. Just get both. **BRENT** Edit: I think 9:30 Eastern will work. Hit me up on FB if you don't see me.

For Vive or Oculus? Also, this is Head Case. Get both for both generations. **BRENT**

Hey guys, I have two more nights with the Oculus Rift for now. Let's play some stuff tonight! PCars for sure I can see how it does with SWBF and perhaps Descent: Underground. EVE: Somethingorother is working for me, but I can't get Elite: Dangerous to let me log in. Anything anyone wants to know about it while I have it? **BRENT**

If you want something that looks worse than what Reks would buy, check out Ecco (locally) to see if they have anything that fits. I'd call around to see if anyone had AE stuff that fit as well. **BRENT**

Those are atrocious. **BRENT**

Don't ask Zach. AE makes rubber soled shoes in many of their designs. If you see "Dainite" in the listing, it's a rubber sole. **BRENT**

HTC Vive on Sunday, switching to the Oculus Rift for the rest of the week. Can youbimagine this stuff when you were ten? In five years this is going to be so ridiculous. I can't wait! Xavier is playing Lucky's Tale right now. He's so incredibly happy with this. I'll post his impressions later tonight or tomorrow. I have Elite: Dangerous and Eve: Somethingorother ready to go when he goes to bed and I stay up til 4am playing. Going to try to get PCars working too; machine crashed hard with video card glitches for a few reboots when I tried PCars last night; hoping for a better outcome this time around. **BRENT**

http://shoebank.com/FactorySecondInventory.php CJ, you're a 10.5 3E (perhaps) in AE, right? That Fifth Avenue in Bourbon for 177$ is a shoe I <3 dearly. I have the Lexington in bourbon and it's great, and the same last as the Park Avenue and Fifth Avenue. I actually prefer the Fifth Avenue unless going black; I find it more versatile. Also, don't get black. Also, bring @cetoole in on this convo. **BRENT**

I love my 3E. I do 4E with NB. They fit well for me when I got them, but after dropping some weight (and breaking them in) they are now a bit loose. I have something built on the same last as these, not this exact shoe, but this is one that's been on my radar for a couple years. **BRENT**

Al, you're probably seeing some anniversary tributes floating around, but yeah, that was a loss that meant a lot to a lot of people. **BRENT**
