  1. Dan: I don't care. FWIW, I don't have the software to keep the transparency of the logo, so I'm pretty much stuck with a white background, at least with the online maker. Would orange/yellow need to be front and back, or just one or the other? I could see if it'd be possible to do like our Red Oxx bags and mix and match a little. **BRENT**
  2. :palm: Flash crashed, and I lost that build. Oh well. I'm sure someone else could do it better anyways, but just wanted to play around and see if the jersey thing could happen. **BRENT**
  3. Colin's back in town, and we haven't made fun of him to his (virtual) face in a while, so I'll take it as a "yes." **BRENT**
  4. I got bored and remembered this site that Nate, I think, posted in the old thread. http://www.eclipsecycling.com/ It's not perfect, but what do you guys think? 30 for jerseys, 28 for shorts, 30 for bibs. 50 for jersey/short kit, 52 for jersey/bib kit. Looks like that's good for up to 3X, 4X is a little more. I've been told it needs "sponsors." Justin, is HeadAmp going to sponsor? What about InnerFidelity? **BRENT**
  5. Hmmmm... so custom d-_-b bar tape? http://www.roadbikeaction.com/Related-Stories/content/67/6593/Lunch-Ride-Review-Zevlin-Big40-Handlebar-Tape.html http://www.zevlin.com/category_s/1863.htm Minimum order of 10, 25$ set up feet, and around 35$/set. Black with the wrapped around it? (Though it'd be just the logo part.) They also offer white, but figure most around here would want black tape. Here's what they say about the colors they offer for logos. Pick one of our standard colors to use for your logo (white, black, red, green, yellow, pink, maroon, grey, glaze red, neon yellow, neon orange, neon green, metallic silver, metallic gold). NOTE-the colors react differently when placed on white tape vs. black tape. Example-Pink is pink on white tape but is Purple on black tape. Zevlin works hard to reproduce your vision but variations do happen. Just something I saw that looked interesting. **BRENT**
  6. Justin, how about May 5th (or May 3rd, depending on when you get in). I'm sure Atlanta has some trails **BRENT**
  7. Hopefully the anniversary one, as they're all gone at this point. **BRENT**
  8. http://www.apple.com/support/imac-harddrive/ Some iMac owners can participate in a recall on 1TB drives in units sold between Oct '09 and July '11. Use this link to see if you qualify. It seems like for some owners, tomorrow is the last day to check them in, and I'm sure this affects at least one person here. **BRENT**
  9. I'm thinking a 10AK with Di2 and Mad Fiber wheels, with the frame in orange, would be sexy as hell. Or maybe Vicki's Enves with matching orange outlined stencils would be pretty great. **BRENT**
  10. HC is going to have at least one of these Kirks, so it may as well be you, parris! **BRENT**
  11. F-22 Raptor breaking the sound barrier. **BRENT**
  12. *cough* slacker *cough* **BRENT**
  13. Ouch. Sorry to hear, Ken. **BRENT**
  14. Gotcha. Thanks. 17.4MPH. That's a mtn bike ride for you, no? **BRENT**
  15. So I don't know how you guys post your Garmin info, but here's the first "real" road ride I've done on the new bike. http://connect.garmin.com/activity/295437347 I'm happy enough with this result. Started to feel it in the back around mile 13, so I didn't want to push it much further. Decent enough group of riders, some more than others. This was a local club's "Beginner" ride. At the start, it was a bit slow going, but I started to feel better a few miles in. The group wound up doing about 10 miles, but there was a guy who wanted to do a little more, so I wound up hanging with him for a few more... and I'm glad I did. The bike fit needs work, I can tell, but I'll figure it out. I think a slightly shorter stem would help. It needs a few adjustments, but all in all, I'm pretty happy with the bike. A guy with a ridiculously nice CF Trek commented favorably on it. Really nice guy... he rode with me while I was hanging at the back of the group for the first leg. After about mile 5, I was hanging with the lead group. The guy on the recumbant probably coulda kicked everyone's asses, though. **BRENT**
  16. We bunny hop in TN, but you get to iguana hop. That's pretty cool. **BRENT**
  17. What everyone else said, Ken... that sucks. On a lighter note: Xavier and I worked on plasti-dipping his bike black, and degreased and lubed the bikes that needed it, and we did a lot of adjusting of his ride, and now he has 6 gears instead of 4, sometimes 6. It was a VERY used bike, but a nice Gary Fisher. Even though it was less than what most of us have in our water bottle cages, after 6$ in "paint", a few bucks in degreaser, a couple hours hanging out and going over bike maintenance together, and lots of tweaking, he has a bike he really digs and we went out for 9 laps of our "circuit" around the apartment complex (hill to start, fun descent going down, over and over). I didn't quite hit my 20 miles goal this week. Xavier and I spent about half an hour at the LBS today, getting some stuff (including his new handlebar mounted water bottle cage), and we checked out the bike he's going to start saving for (he saves half, I pay the other half). I talked to them about the Sunday shop ride, and it's just not something I'm up for yet, so I'm going to chance taking the bike to work and hit up the local weekly "beginner ride" to see how I hold up. It was a pretty awesome Sunday. We went from this To this When the porch is designed to be a built-in bike rack, you HAVE to take a pic of 'em all lined up, no? Oh, I still love his helmet. Best kid helmet they had at the bike shop (a Giro). I had told him if he saved up half, I'd buy the rest. One weekend last year he said "Daddy, I have 21$, can we go get that helmet now?" Made me so happy. The next day the shop was open, we went. **BRENT**
  18. FYI, Ben has a bike, just a bit older dual suspension. You need to get him out there, definitely. **BRENT**
  19. It seems I forgot an entire state last night. Since some of the racing people are out, tempted to have a bike ride on Sunday **BRENT**
  20. Sorry Justin, don't know how I forgot you (and a couple of the other vendors). **BRENT**
  21. Hey guys, Trav tells me there are about 45-50 people scheduled for this event! I've been talking to some people on HF who are coming as well, including one from TN. Don't we have someone in our ranks from Nashville? I can't remember who at the moment, it always escapes me. Anyways, attendee list: MexicanDragon Trav Fitz Purk shelly Justin (Of HeadAmp fame) TomB Adrian Nebby Wayne tkam Scott Reks John Morrison and the A-VCOA Gang Vendors: HeadAmp JH Audio Heir Audio Beezar Maybe: Dinny Vicki Colin Crappy and Mrs. Crappy Wheels (Cybertron) jeffreyj900000000 (someone should call him) Tom_Hankins (he's local. Purk, fitz, can someone give him a call?) Out: Jim JP Mike deepak Dan the Slacker Who am I leaving out? This should be a nice, relatively chill gathering... should be fun! **BRENT**
  22. Also shared on FB, so some of you will see it twice, but: Although this information was unearthed earlier this week, I was just informed that I have a tween-aged daughter, and that I better be careful, because [turning into a tween] may happen to Xavier one day too. "This comes from experience!" - Zoe Waitforit Lawson **BRENT** (If you're wondering about the middle name... she's a How I Met Your Mother fan, so it was "facebook officially" changed after the best middle name on earth was uncovered a season or so ago.)
