  1. Ken and acidebasement, hope everything works out for you guys.
  2. ^ Only thing I can think of is if you need to run through rinse cycle multiple times, which I need to do if I'm stripping cloth diapers.
  3. It's a Kelty framed backpack carrier, can't remember the model number off top of my head right now. We were planning on getting a Deuter backpack carrier, but then the Kelty one showed up at less than 1/3 the cost of Deuter carrier I was thinking about buying. My shoulders may regret this decision, but considering we won't be using for more than a short day hike, the price was just too good to pass up. We remembered liking Ergo, though we ended up with a different brand for one reason for another that we can't remember at this point.
  4. Went out for a walk in woods with Libby using the backpack carrier we just received. While the walk was fun and Libby loved the new carrier, my shoulders did not exactly enjoy the walk even with the carrier adjusted properly for my torso. I really can't complain considering how little we paid for it, but at the same time, I'm painfully remembering from my outdoor-gear-sales days that you generally get what you pay for (to an extent) in regards to framed backpacks.
  5. http://photorumors.com/2012/01/05/the-fuji-x-pro-1-mirrorless-camera-leaked-in-french-magazine/ I like this "leaked" price points much better. The lenses being introduced with it looks nice, too. Here's hoping menu system and AF is better than X100.
  6. We'll probably get to hear/see more details on it in a week (CES 2012). Hopefully, they won't pull a Sony and actually release nice lens options from the start - if the mockup/leaked image is accurate, it'll at least have 35/1.4.
  7. ^ Frick, that's pricey - I was really hoping it'll cost at around NEX-7 level for a body only. I wonder if the menu system will be just as convoluted and illogical as X100?
  8. ^ not sure about 2012, but at least it looks like Apple has been thinking about it. http://thegadgetsite.com/2011/12/retina-display-support-for-mac-found-in-os-x-10-7-3-beta/
  9. Not that I'm complaining about the lack of snow thus far (I neither ski nor snowboard) but it does make me bit worried for the rest of the season.
  10. Not actually drinking as I've already spat it out, but just had an apple cider that had gone bad. I had bought the damn things on Monday night and I hadn't even opened it yet.
  11. ^ We'll probably be getting one when we reclaim the passenger seat, which will be when our daughter is old/heavy/tall enough to have the car seat facing forward. With the car seat placed facing backward behind passenger seats, no average or larger human can sit comfortably in our passenger seats right now.
  12. Yeah, I think it's mostly being in a car with toddler for a long amount of time more than the actual driving time. I never really thought driving to my folks place up in Maine was all that bad until then.
