We only got ~3" yesterday and that's the most we've got in a day since the storm in October. Oh, and it'll be back in low 50's to high 40's come Monday and Tuesday.
That is precisely why, methinks. While I'm mostly grew up in 80's, it's ridiculous how worried/paranoid I get in regards to my daughter. Oh, and there are many things I did as a kid that she will never do, at least on my watch.
^ I see Comcast is just as reliable in Texas as it is in Mass (I'm happy to report I no longer use their service).
Just finished clearing off the driveway while my daughter and my wife played in the snow. It was probably one of the easiest shoveling I've done in a while.
You can do the same thing on 7D (or any other Canon DSLR with multi-control joystick thingies, IIRC), you just need to change the setting in the menu. I'm pretty sure it's under "Autofocus point selection" under "Autofocus/Drive" in the menu (you "want multi-controller direct"). If you want to change the AF area type (single-point, etc.) you still need to press another button but not so for changing a focusing point within same AF area type.
^ I'd forgotten about wake on LAN. I'll see if it works with my old iMac, which is acting as the server right now.
EDIT - And, of course, my ancient iMac can't wake on network access over wireless. Argh. Perhaps it's a good thing it's screen's slowly dying.
That's too bad about the USB drive not working well or consistently with Touch. That was the only reason I was thinking of replacing my good ol' Squeezebox 3 so I don't have to have a computer running as a server for it all the time.
We've a day off, so we're having fun at Boston Children's Museum. It appears many parents had the same exact idea and we had to wait out in cold for good while before we were able to get in. At least we got in for free.
Woke up only to realize I can't open my eyes. Panicked slightly for a second then quickly realized I've got conjunctivitis in both eyes. Thankfully, my doctor's office is open today so I can get eye drop/ointment.
Congrats!
So I get up this morning and realize that my iMac's screen is slowly dying (it's now got a vertical pink line and doing some weird things on randomly). Predictably, this happens right after I finally consolidated all the files to that particular iMac. Time to dust off the busted Macbook, I guess.
