This. One of these days, though I suspect by the time I'm ready for one, there won't be any left. -

^ Funny. On that note, I'd rather get a used D7000 at this point than a used D300, though of course, D7000 would cost a bit more. EDIT - Speaking of D7000, I didn't realize that B&N online is now selling items through 3rd party venders. http://www.barnesandnoble.com/p/nikon-d7000-162-megapixel-digital-slr-camera/21785819?cm_mmc=google+product+search-_-q000000630-_-nikon+d7000+162+megapixel+digital+slr+camera-_-18208254682&ean=18208254682&r=1 -

You should be. If not for all the pics I've already processed through with it, I'd have gone back to LR3 by now. I'm wondering if increasing my MBP's RAM to 16GB would help any now that prices on 8GB sticks have come down some. -

Does Amherst College not broadcast over the summer? I missed the last night's show since I fell asleep around 8 after getting 2 hours of sleep the previous night/morning.

^ I vote for new a camera, as I doubt it would be cheap/worthwhile (or quick) to get a 20D fixed at this point considering it's been discontinued for over seven years. Assuming you're staying with Canon, remember to take a look at Canon Loyalty program. -

Dinny, optics and VR on new and old Nikon 18-200 are exactly the same. The new one, as you mentioned, is supposed to have less zoom creep as well as nicer action on its zoom ring. It also has a zoom locking tab to keep it at 18mm. -
Got rid of more than few trees/branches that fell in to our yard a while back. While I was at it, also sawed off few still-attached branches that were starting to get too big. On an unrelated note, I just realized that I've most likely left my filter pouch somewhere in Buffalo when I was there couple of week ago, along with two circular polarizers. Argh.

Basically what Shelly said, though same holds true for all other brands, and fastest available zooms are at 2.8. Oh and Shelly, have you bought 50 1.4g yet? I'd have thought about if I did t already have. 50 1.8g.
