  1. For those interested, the case number (according to PACER) is 2:12-cv-10641-R-FMO.
  2. ^ According to MS, "System software uses significant storage space; your storage capacity will be less" so, yes, all Microsoft Surfaces are like that. IIRC, some guy is suing MS for false advertisement (or something along that line) because his Surface only came with 16gb of free space instead of 32gb he was expecting.
  3. Just buy moar and daisy-chain them. FYI, Lacie do make 1TB SSD Thunderbolt drives. It does cost $1K each, though.
  4. Thanks for the reminder, Nate. May just do that since it'll get us enough to break even on wife's new phone.
  5. Sorry to hear about yoru wrist issues, Al. Here's hoping the surgey can clear things up. Congrats on the house, Vicki!
  6. It's not that you can't file but that IRS won't start processing tax this year until the 30th. Oooh, what's on the horizon?
  7. ...and predictably, the goddamn wifi on the phone is mysteriously working again, after we had gotten her a new iPhone over the weekend. We'll see how long this is remain "fixed," but until it stops working again, at least I'll get to have a faster iPhone.
  8. I won't even have all my forms until sometime in March.
  9. Went to see my doctor for yet another neck/back spasms. Gave me some exercises to do and suggested I get for better desk/chair.
  10. Tried it and the best they could do was $199 for a replacement. Did not take them up on that.
  11. Awesome, Dinny. I think the next time I upgrade/replace my Mac, I'm going that route or building a desktop Hackintop with large monitor.
  12. Just noticed yesterday that my wife's iPhone 4S's wifi isn't working - the wifi wouldn't connect and then wifi button became greyed out after a network reset (and we've no idea how long this has been going on). Did all the usual things (soft reset, network reset, hard reset, restore, etc.) to no avail. Predictably, the warranty expired late last month.
  13. ^ Reminds me of the one I've seen for i-products.
  14. I wouldn't exactly call shelling out $1,000 to a company that doesn't really exist in any meaningful fashion easy.
  15. Good to know. I'm wondering which company's code that is and what's the likelihood of MS pulling out the activation at later date.
  16. Damn, would be all over it if they had one in orange....and if I still had a listening room free from a toddler and two cats.
  17. Didn't work for me. Oh well, it was worth a shot.
  18. The End of an Era: Steve McCurry and the Final Roll of Kodachrome Film
  19. And they would have been equally as annoyed if Fuji delayed releasing X-E1 until now, and maybe they haven't figured out how to work the sensor-level PDAF with different lenses as opposed to fixed one on X100S. In any case, this thing is looking like it will be giving Sony RX-1 run for its money.
