  1. So I somehow have a Nikon 35Ti coming my way this week. I'm both looking forward to and dreading it.
  2. ^ might be on the YouTube side. Same thing is happening with both my iPhone and iPad as well. EDIT - It's mostly happening to me only at forum sites. I can see embedded YouTube videos just fine at non forum sites.
  3. ...and I guess I'm going to have a 4-day weekend.
  4. Yeah, as much as I like my Apple things, the whole Apple ID issue is maddening. I think I have 4 Apple IDs, only two of which are in use now. I even have @Mac.com account out there in ether.
  5. Just finished clearing out the driveway, walkway, and most of the roof. Predictably, my back and tendinitis are screaming at me at this point. I really need to buy a snow blower.
  6. If there are any m43 shooters here, new GX-1 body for $222.99 on eBay from Buy.com (authorized dealer/seller so warranty's valid). http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Panasonic-Lumix-DMC-GX1-16-Megapixel-Mirrorless-Camera-Body-Only-Black-/400333459001?pt=Digital_Cameras&hash=item5d35bbce39 I'm tempted to grab it as a second body.
  7. Just cleared off the roof on the backyard side. There were 3-4 feel of snow on there and it was making me bit nervous. The roof on the front, on the other hand, has virtually no snow. Not that I'm complaining since I hate raking snow off the roof.
  8. Decent chunk of snow, though hard to tell with wind/snow drift (one side of our cars have relatively little snow while the other side have over 2 feet). I have to go out soon and get the snow off my deck as there is over 3 feet of snow on it. Here's a horrible SOOC shot from our side door. _HDL6555 by Haj Okuda, on Flickr
  9. I woke up to my daughter calling me from her bedroom, who then proceeded to throw up. Thankfully, she doesn't seem to be in much discomfort/pain, though definitely has a fever and horrible cough.
  10. Well, with up to 2 feet of snow expected on Friday, I went and got a new snow shovel to replace the one I broke earlier in the season. What I really wanted was a snow blower, though.
  11. ^ Color me jealous. If we ever get around to finishing the basement, I'll have a turntable again.
  12. ^ Nice. I was seriously thinking of getting things together for it recently when my SB3 stopped outputting music and couldn't figure out why until I realized one of the cats knocked off the digital cable from the back. Probably still going to end up with AppleTV, though. With folks other than myself or my wife (e.g., grandparents, my sister, babysitter, etc.) needing to use the system on occasions, it would far easier to have a visual guide that pops up on the TV.
  13. What are poeple's recommendtion for screen sharing/remote logging into macs from iPad now-a-days?
  14. I'm pretty sure Apple Stores are open tomorrow.
  15. I wonder how long it takes to grow the two flourite elements.
  16. Also knew a guy with a last name Payne and he had a brother who was a MD.
  17. I once lived on the same floor as a guy named Phuc. He had a roommate named Trong. EDIT - IIRC, "u" in Phuc had some symbol or other above it.
  18. Which was my point about people *thinking* of it as tablets instead of full blown computers. On my iPad 4, it's got 57.2gb out of 64gb available. IIRC, an actual usable space on a 64gb storage is around 59.6gb, so about 2.4gb iOS already used up from the get go.
  19. I think the issue is because we think of Surface Pros (and to extent, RTs) as tablets instead of as full-blown computers. None of us would be annoyed if full-blown computers we bought had less space than the stated hard drive space (which they would since there'd be OS and other software already installed).
