  1. ^ No noticeable speed difference on my 5s or iPad 4 either. Personally, I prefer the fading to zoom-in/out, though.
  2. Jacob, my step-father has Nexus 7 and I found the screen too small to read comics comfotably - I expect it would be similar on iPad Mini. Like you, I don't like viewing comics panel by panel.
  3. What Dan said. The reduce motion option now kills the zoom-in/out effect.
  4. That just seems very un-Head-Case.
  5. Nikon probably figured regular consumers would've been up in arms if D600 had same pixel count as D7000/D5100. I'm not saying 16mp isn't enough (or less for that matter) just guessing on Nikon's thought process.
  6. Early 2011 15" MBP, 2.3 GHz i7, SSD, and 8GB RAM. It's not that the dock hangs or is slow in popping up, it's as though it's not registering that the cursor is at the bottom of my screen(s) until I give that extra tag. Doesn't happen every time, but often enough it's bit annoying.
  7. Installing Mavericks was rather painless and speedy (for an OS upgrade) affair. Not a big deal, but when it restarted after the update, both my monitors (MBP LCD and external) were using incorrect display profiles. Also, getting the Dock to pop up (I have it setup to hide) can be erratic - sometimes it pops up quickly when I move the cursor to bottom of my screens and other times it needs an extra "tag," so to speak, toward the bottom of a screen for it pop up. Not sure if this is because I have a dual monitor setup.
  8. Weird. It's showing up under Software Update (in Settings) on both my 5s and iPad 4. EDIT - After installing the update, accelerometer calibration issue is fixed on mine (mine was off by 2-3 degrees).
  9. That would be truly crazy, considering that the rumored specs, including the D4 sensor, are inferior to that of D600/610. Oh, and refurbed D600 have gone below $1400.
  10. iOS 7.0.3 out. One of the fixes listed is accelerometer calibration issue. I haven't gotten around to updating mine yet.
  11. With expected news on Mac Pro (which they did have), I was hoping for news and/or release of Aperture 4 (or whatever). I'm starting to wonder if they're just going to let the software die.
  12. Unless Nikon is crazy, it should be less than D610.
  13. Best wishes, Brent.
  14. ^ Yeah, the sale price was only valid for a short time.
  15. My teams are big piles of mess this week and it's not looking like it's going to get much better next week.
  16. Happy Birthday!
  17. I remember Ohio being pretty flat. EDIT - oh wait, you said level. I should go to bed.
  18. Happy Birthday!
  19. ^...and hear the lamentation of his woman?
  20. Holy poop. I'm glad I've never had such odd driving experience.
  21. That sucks, Nate. I hope you don't have to replace your water heater - a new big TV would be more fun.
  22. Canon 6D for $1574 (you need to put in your cart and start the checkout process to get the price). http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/892349-REG/Canon_8035b002_EOS_6D_Digital_Camera.html 24-70L II for $1699 ($300 discount at checkout and $300 mail-in rebate). http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/843008-USA/Canon_5175B002_EF_24_70mm_f_2_8L_II.html
  23. The ace looks nice, dan. I take it the fingerprint scanner works with the glass screen cover?
  24. Happy Birthday!
