  1. I've built this one as well, though I made one with 4 legs instead of 3. One of these days, I'm going to take mine apart and paint the shelves. Of course, I've been saying that I'll paint them since I made them a long while back.
  2. Here's hoping you getting one, Nate. That way, I'll be able to listen to it at a next local meet. I've been thinking of going back to using a stand-alone DAC, but I've got bunch of SACD's I love that makes doing so bit difficult.
  3. I like stepped attenuators, and I've had them in two amps I've owned in the past. However, one amp had 41 (or 43) steps, while the other one had 24 step one with 3-position gain switch.
  4. IIRC, CEC CD3300 (or CD3300R) has one, and you should be able to find one under $500. I know nothing about its performance as a transport, though. EDIT - corrected the model number.
  5. This is why I should check A-Gon more frequently.
  6. You didn't really think it was going to last, did you?
  7. I have to do something about my table placement as well. My apartment has a wood floor and it transfers just about any and all vibrations to the table. I might just get either a wall-mount platform or something from Gingko.
  8. Congrats on the phono stage, Nate! I really like the wood front panel. What cart are you looking to get?
  9. Here you go. http://166.90.205.111/forums/showthread.php?t=162673
  10. In case you haven't seen it, you can check out the detail (and buy it) from the Moon Audio site. They start at $2200.
  11. Glad to hear that the problem was finally located and fixed, Ethan.
  12. IIRC, that's what KG said at some point somewhere in the Head-Fi. EDIT - Found the thread. http://166.90.205.111/forums/showthread.php?t=90172
  13. Woohoo! Good to hear that your new amp is progressingly smoothly.
  14. Cool, thanks for the link. It made for a nice read as I cleaned my records.
  15. That's a great news, Ethan. Glad to hear you finally have your player back and running. On a unrelated note, my mechanic did me a favor and we did eventually work out a deal - which means I probably didn't have to sell the 701's. I hate my car. Oh well, I'll probably grab some IEM's with the 701 sale money.
  16. Justin - can I take your post as a sign that new module development is going smoothly?
  17. Congrats on your new toy, Ken! Keep us posted if you do any comparisons between your full-sized cans. I was really looking forward to getting a pair, but new front suspension for my car put an end to that plan.
  18. Mmmm, tasty all black rig. Didn't know Stello came in black. Love the huge selector knob.
  19. Any guess on how long it'll stay on market? I'm guessing less than a year unless price is cut drastically.
  20. How about DV-60, so I can listen to it?
  21. Methinks anyone who tries what would be in a world of hurt.
  22. Any update or good news in regards to the source?
  23. It's not all that much bigger than UO and I think it actually sits lower than UO, IIRC. It's footprint is 8.5" x 8.5".
  24. I wouldn't be surprised if HD700 (or whatever it may be) came out with non-detatchable cables.
