My best friend was one those - he kept reading the new books just waiting for something to happen, then he died. He called me in middle of a work day to tell me that. He was not pleased.

You know, that sort of sounds like the Wheel of Time series. Fortunately for me, I stopped reading few books back in the series. It's author, Robert Jordan, passed away couple of weeks ago without finishing the series.
  3. FWIW, the specs on ESW9's are different from the ones for ES7's.
  4. Thanks for the response, hirsch. I may have to try the recable/reterm option if another pair ever shows up on for sale again.
  5. Speaking of Heil AMT, has anyone heard Ergo AMT? I have Ergo 2, and been wondering how its big brother sounds.
  6. Damn, I don't think anyone in the area is participating in the H2 group buy. Maybe someone in NY will have a pair by NYC meet, and maybe I'll have my amps by then so I can try them out there.
  7. Damn, that does sound really good. I wish I had the money. The looks wouldn't bother me (assuming they're build well and durable), I mean, look at my headphones, they're not exactly on the pretty side. LOL.
  8. Damnit! I was supposed to watch the first season before tomorrow night when the new season starts! Grrrr. Good thing I have DVR.
  9. Speaking of stupid connectors, how's your Equation can doing, Nate?
  10. They're marketed as portable with foldable earcups. Nate, tell me how you really feel about 1/8" connectors. LOL.
  11. Too rich for my blood, especially for a pair of portable cans.
  12. USB WiFi adaptor for my wireless-dead laptop (finally)
  13. Jeff Wayne's The War of the Worlds finally came (along with bunch of other CD's). I can't wait till I listen to it later tonight.
  14. Hmm, maybe I should've done that before the Boston meet. LOL.
  15. And Making Money by Terry Pratchett.
  16. Oooh, the Big 4. Must remember to track it down....
  17. Just finished listening to Darkly Dreaming Dexter and I enjoyed it. Now listening to M is for Magic by Neil Gaiman and Gone for Soldiers by Jeff Shaara.
  18. Congrats on your new toy! I was going to mention about the silver Dynahi, but you did that yourself.
  19. I know headband pads from old style Beyer 770/880/990 fit the narrow Grado headband, though not the wide headband. With the wide headband, I remember that I could only button the two outside buttons (there are four buttons). Earl, if you want it, I have one lying around here doing nothing - just shoot me a PM.
