  1. Spearit Sound in Boston/Northampton bought out the inventory of Siltech America and are selling them cheap(er). I'm not associated with neither Spearit Sound nor Siltech. http://www.spearitsound.com/siltechsale/siltech_home.htm
  2. Red Sox vs. Indians, hope I can stay awake with all the cold meds in my system.
  3. Leave it to Nate to put SB3 back in the running. Damn, and I was this close to just driving over to the Apple Store tomorrow, too. Hope the mini-meet works out - it'll be great to see Voodoochile, too, it's been a while since I've seen him.
  4. Ah, I had forgotten about that. How is navigating music files on SB3? I have rather large number of music files, but I've never seen SB3 in action so I don't know how it handles the navigation.
  5. Yeah, I've got confirmation from others that it can be done. I'm leaning toward AEX at this point since I can just keep using iTunes with it, and haven't really found any compelling practical reason to spend $200 more for SB3. Anyone's welcomed to change my mind, though.
  6. I have bunch of SACD-hybrid discs that came in rounded corner case (if you've seen or have one, you know what I'm talking about). Some of them, unfortunately, have cracks or otherwise have some damage on them. Anyone know if or where one could purchase those SACD-hybrid cases?
  7. Never seen the movie - what's it about?
  8. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind. I used to own K271's, but never used them with the stock cable, so I'll get to find out how good or bad it is when my new pair comes in sometime next week.
  9. I was going to put Zu or Equinox for K271 until I saw the price on those things. Damn! For some odd reason, I have some reservation about paying more for replacement cable than the headphones themselves, especially when it's for my secondary cans. I didn't remember them being so pricey.
  10. Interesting, everyone loves their SB3, huh? I thought about getting a new Macbook and I still may, but I'm waiting at least until Leopard comes out in couple of week. Oh, and I will be getting an upsampling DAC. Remote won't matter much to me since I'll just be using the iBook that sits in my living room 99% of the time. LOL.
  11. It took couple of seconds for me to realize the link went to an image and not an actual site. I was clicking around wondering why it wasn't dong anything.
  12. Damnit, I just remembered that I'm using a USB wifi adaptor with my iBook (internal AirPort is dead and I'm not going to shell out few hundred $ to replace the logic board) - which may mean that I won't be able to use AirPort Express with the iBook. Grrr.
  13. It's bit too hoppy and flavor is too overwhelming for me. It's more or less or uber 90 min IPA. Personally, I like the 90 min much better and 120 min really isn't worth trouble of obtaining it (they only come in single bottle and aren't released that regularly).
  14. I'm pretty sure that Din has female 1/8. EDIT - Just looked at mine and it has female 1/8.
  15. See, this is why we can't have anything nice.
  16. Icarium, can you see the reply?
  17. What a hell? Icarium's last post isn't showing up on the thread for me, though it's I can see it if I try to reply to the thread.
  18. I must say that I'm rather partial to that ARC look with the love handles. I'm going to miss it when I sell my PH3.
  19. So I'm finally getting off my lazy ass to seriously start planning for my wireless music setup. My question is, disregarding SQ difference since this will be used only for casual listening via speakers, what does Squeezebox have over Airport Express? I will be using it to feed a DAC via one of my Macs, most likely my iBook, and just about all of my music files are in ALAC or AIFF. Squeezebox sure do look pretty, especially in all black, but is it worth 3x that of Airport Express for my application?
  20. With more than twice that of next guy, yeah, I'd say you win.
  21. Says the man with over six times my posts.
  22. Ahh, 60 min IPA is pretty good, though I like 90 min IPA better. 120 min IPA, on the other hand...
