  1. Nice! Nate, by any chance you tried out the Woo amp (WA 5, I think) with K1000 jack?
  2. Well, I'm not sure how many guys from here made the meet. I couldn't make it since I just had too much crap to get done. I know Nate and Ian went, but IIRC, they were talking staying over and driving back on Sunday, so I don't know if they have access to computer yet. Even if they went home after the meet, they'd getting home right about now.
  3. No problem here loading the dashboard off of the dock either.
  4. I was glad that I could change the way Dock looked without needing to add another software or pay for one. The 3D look was really annoying me.
  5. Couldn't wait, huh, Reks? Let us know how you like it (or don't). Of course, now that you're installing it, watch Apple release 10.5.1 next week. It's been almost two weeks since I've installed it on my iMac and I have had no issues with it. I'm using and liking Spaces now after figuring out how to assign Finder to all spaces. It was rather handy when I needed to have almost 20 Word and Powerpoint documents open at the same time. I didn't like the 3D presentation of Dock, but I just changed it to 2D via Terminal and it's a lot easier to see again (like Tiger). Time Machine's working for me fine, but I don't have too much files, and I don't make too many big changes that often, especially with majority of my music files saved elsewhere.
  6. I bought it used, so it really wasn't. Even new, they're $135 to $160, IIRC.
  7. Didn't know that bit. I knew I was probably too late when I first saw that A-gon ad.
  8. I got mine and I opened it up. It's basically an Alps Blue Velvet with wires connecting the pot and the RCA outs.
  9. He wanted to trade an old style RS-1's (with brown headband, possibly original flats -though disintegrating, w/o any packaging) for PS-1 or HP-2's, and he'd add some cash depending on the conditions of the cans. He had bought them off A-gon for $475. Though he's retracted them now that he doesn't want to simply sell them.
  10. I really wish I had seen the original Audiogon ad for them sooner, though. By the time I saw it, it was too late. Stupid work/class.
  11. I wish I was that lucky! When I e-mailed them about it, I was told that it was over at this point. Enjoy the free stuff!
  12. So who's gonna take him up on his offer? http://www.head-fi.org/forums/showthread.php?p=3414673#post3414673
  13. I know, but I was kind of hoping. Stupid Microsoft taking their time to update the damn program.
  14. I was including comfort into the ranking, and having a decent amp (i.e., with balls) to drive K271. K271 also has an option of upgrading the cables. I guess Etys do, too, but aside from Alex, I don't think anyone's offering upgrade cable for Etys. Of course, if I rank them by usage, Etys trounce everything else I've owned.
  15. K1000 >>> K701 > K271 > ER4S If I still owned OII and RS-1, they would be right up there with K1000.
  16. Welcome to Head-Case, sorry about your thin skin! And to your question - I have absolutely no fucking idea.
  17. Okay, so even with 3gb of memory, Leopard still doesn't like non-native apps, like MS Office, though extra memory does help.
  18. Holy crap! There are someone else who have seen that movie? Woohoo!
  19. That's too bad. I was really looking forward to it - I love the graphic novels.
  20. Yep, I've told him that, I think in early October. We'll see if I get it before Saturday.
  21. I'm tempted to do that, since I'll have my Luminous Axiom Passive Preamp by then. 840C > Axiom > "Insert Long Overdue Single Power Amp Here" > K1000. LOL.
  22. Nice. I'll have at least with my Gilmore Lite and possibly others, though at this point, I'm considering going without any gears. Hmm, interesting - didn't know you can superscript a font twice.
  23. So anyone else here going? I plan on going barring unforeseen last minute event.
