  1. I know a pair with brown headband, most likely original flats without packaging went on A'gon for $450 recently. This probably won't help, but used newer RS-1's (not the new new one without wooden buttons) have been going on Head-Fi for ~$500 - $550.
  2. Jeebus. No wonder I can't keep up with the new posts.
  3. Thanks for adding the comment, Nate. I just realized that I forgot to credit Voodoochile with the amp, but you'd already done the work for me.
  4. Same here. Damn, I wish I had never sold my old pair.
  5. I'd say 10 days to a month, unless, of course, they rewind to sometime in 2006.
  6. Thanks for the link on fixing the menubar, Reks. I think I'll give it a try later.
  7. And since no one posted this pic... IMO, one of the best looking amps I've ever seen, DIY or commercial. I believe that this what they refer to as the trump card. Voodoochile can put just about any manufacturer to shame.
  8. The condo looks real nice place, Ian. So do you have multiple cats or is that a same cat in multiple pictures?
  9. Good to see you here, Dave. Dew eeet now!
  10. Jeebus, Reks, do you ever go to sleep or are you just up early? Well, time to go to work now.
  11. Here you go. http://www.head-case.org/index.php/topic,2388.msg66703.html#msg66703
  12. You realize you're digging up 7 months old thread, right? Oh, and he doesn't have his SP amp anymore.
  13. With my SP K1000 power amp nowhere to be seen, and with a potential need for a budget power amp for my Epos ELS-3 that I have setup for TV/Cable/DVD purpose, I've been reading about some gainclone amps. Most posts/threads about them are favorable and they seem to be great bang-for-buck. With that, anyone here has any idea how well (or not) gainclone amps will work with K1000's? My thinking is if it works well enough, I'll get one and use it to tide me over until SP power amp shows up, after which I'll use it with Epos.
  14. I do enjoy Beard Papa's cream puffs. They have a store in the Quincy Market and they usually have a stall at the Annual Phantom Gourmet Food Festival down by the Fenway.
  15. Hmm, those do sound interesting. Hopefully, I'll get to try them at some point, though I doubt I'd ever seriously consider them considering I'm trying to save up for a 2-ch setup.
  16. I've got nothing for your question, but WA 5 does look interesting with K1000 jack and all.
  17. I've been trying to read Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell after finding a hardcover copy of it at a Border's outlet for $4. Unfortunately, due to its size, it's not exactly the easiest book to read in bed, where I do most of my non-work reading.
  18. Congrats on your new car, Ian! I want pics.
  19. It looks like more folks were there than the last meet held at the same place. Man, I wish I had made it.
  20. Ahh, the Dog smilie. I like the dear-in-the-headlight look of too.
