It was shade over $200 with the shipping from NJ (where Zerosurge is located) - about $60 saving over buying the rebranded model from Brickwall with their current 5% discount before adding the shipping cost. I needed a better surge protection anyways. Also, for me, shipping is cheaper and faster from Zerosurge since Brickwall is on the other side of the country from me. Had I bought 6 of them, I would have been able to get a volume discount, but I've no need for 6 of them and no money buy 6 of them either. Assuming the unit is actually in stock and they ship it today as they said they would, I should have the unit tomorrow.

I checked around and yeah, Brickwall if rebrands of Zerosurge.

After some initial pains, Spaces has definitely grown on me. It's too bad that some apps still don't play nice with it, though. -

I think I'm going to be picking up a Brickwall/Zerosurge unit soon.

Yay, new laptop for Nate! When's the ETA?

In my case, I'm the seller and it was the potential buyer that never showed up. It was rather annoying week trying to contact him and set up a time, only for him not to show up at all.

K272 HD looks like K271 with updated cosmetics and non-detachable cable.
-
Probably not, though when you factor in buying velour pads, that brings the price to about $190 or so.

Cool, thanks for the info. While we are on the topic, anyone know if PureAV stuff from Belkin is any good? For that matter, any power conditioner that actually works and isn't just a pure BS?
-
I didn't really read/look all that closely, but changes look to be merely cosmetic. It's nice now that they're going to include velour pads, though. You don't have to deal with trying to get it from AKG.
-
Well, it seems AKG has updated some of their mid-level phones. I just bought my K271 couple of months ago, too. http://www.akg.com/site/press_center/powerslave,id,152,nodeid,0,_language,EN,nodeid,33.html

Hey Zach, Didn't you used to have a Brickwall? Which one was it and how did you like it?
-
Probably the same kind of person who replies to your ad saying they'll buy the item and will pick it up, then not show up without a peep on two separately scheduled days.

Just FYI, Grover updates/fixes/modifies his cables constantly to the point you won't be able to figure out what he is currently offering if you're not paying close attention. I've no real recommendations, though, as I haven't really played with cables that much.

Dilemma : stay SR100 or take the HP2 plunge ?

Yeah, I think ~$800 is what I'd pay for a good conditioned pair. -

Yep. That's why it was confusing me. They're both in CA, but in different ZIP code. -

There are variations on Mahogany (as in all wood pieces), but I suspect it's mostly a time factor as Mahogany darkens over time.
